국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 학생 참여형 수업을 통한 미술교과 역량 신장 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 연구자는 미술과 중심의 주제중심 통합학습 방법을 제안하고, 공동연구자 초등미술교사는 6학년 한 학급을 대상으로 9개월간 통합수업을 진행하였다. 그 결과 다음의 미술교과 역량 신장 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 첫째, 학생들은 주도적으로 자신들이 배우고 싶어 하는 주제에 접근하였다. 미술 작품의 결과와는 상관없이 활동 과정 속에서 즐거움을 찾고 진지하게 몰입한 것이다. 둘째, 미술문화 이해 능력이 현대적 차원에서 이루어지고 향상되었다. 학생들은 전통미술문화를 창의 ·융합 관점에서 현대적 차원으로 승화시켜 이해하였다. 즉 한국화, 서예, 공예라는 미술과 장르 간 통합수업이 그 예이다. 셋째, 학생들은 타인을 배려하고 소통할 줄 아는 능력이 확장되었다. 미술활동이나 또는 타인의 삶과 연결 지어서 의미를 찾고 생각하는 기회를 주었기 때문이다. 이와 같이 미술교과 역량 신장은 질적인 측면에서 학생들의 인식과 태도에 변화를 일으켰다는데 의미가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find ways to enhance the competency of the art subject through student-participatory class. For this purpose, the researcher suggested ways of thematic integrated learning which is centered on the art subject, and the elementary art teacher who collaborated and conducted integrated lessons for 9 months. As a result, the possibility of enhancing the competency of the art subject has been confirmed. First, students have taken a lead in approaching to the subject they want to learn. Students sought pleasure in the activity process and seriously engaged in it regardless of their art work outcomes. Second, the ability of understanding art-culture has been dealt and improved in modern level. Students understood the traditional art-culture by sublimating it from the creative convergence point of view in modern level. The integrated lesson between genre and art; Korean painting, calligraphy, and craft should be an example. Third, students have expanded their ability to consider and communicate with others. This is because art activities gave students an opportunity to find meanings and ponder about themselves by linking one’s life or others lives. In this way, enhancing the competency of the art subject is meaningful itself because it has caused changes in students perceptions and attitudes in terms of quality.
