유아 인성함양을 위한 지역사회 교육 네트워크에 대한 유아교사의 인식 및 요구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 유아의 인성함양을 위한 지역사회 교육 네트워크 구축 및 활성화 방안을 모색하기 위하여 유아교사들의 인식과 요구를 탐색하는 것이다. 이에 2017년 11월 10일 부터 2017년 11월 30일까지 총 41개 문항으로 구성된 설문지를 전국 10개 시·도 지역 유치원과 어린이집에 근무하는 교사를 대상으로 배포, 수합하였으며 이중 344명의 응답을 분석하였다. 연구결과 지역사회 교육 네트워크를 통한 인성교육의 목적은 사회규범, 편견 없는 태도, 도덕성 함양 순으로 나타났다. 교사들은 유아 인성교육을 위한 지역사회 교육 네트워크가 매우 필요하다고 인식하고 있었으나 시행수준은 상대적으로 낮은 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 교육기관별 실행도 차이를 보면 학부모의 협조의지와 전문 기관 및 인력과의 협력은 유치원이 어린이집보다 높게 나타난 반면, 지역연계 교육을 위한 규정 및 법규 제정의 경우 어린이집이 유치원 보다 실행도가 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 인성교육을 위한 지역연계 활동 현황을 보면 유치원과 어린이집 모두 유아의 지역사회 참여 및 봉사, 지역자원을 이용한 교육활동, 지역기관 및 시설을 활용한 교육활동이 적극적으로 이루어지고 있었다. 셋째, 지역 사회 교육 네트워크 활성화를 위한 요구사항은 유아교육기관 차원에서는 교사를 위한 관련연수 및 교육, 전담교사 인력보충, 예산확보, 지역협력체제 마련이 요청되었고, 지역사회 차원에서는 지역사회 기관 및 단체의 프로그램 정보 제공과 지역사회 기관 및 시설의 전담 교육담당자 배치가 요청되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 유아 인성교육의 대안적 체제로서 교육 네트워크를 활성화하는데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the kindergarten and child care teachers perceptions and needs for building and activating the community education network for character education of early childhood. The subjects of this study were 94 kindergarten teachers and 250 child care teaches who work in 10 regions of the country and the questionnaire consisted of 41 items. The results of this study were as follows: First, for the purpose of young children’s character education through community education network, it appeared in order of social norms acquisition, attitude without prejudice, and morality. Moreover, both kindergarten and child care teachers recognized the necessity of the community education network for young children’s character education very high, but the execution of the network was relatively low. Second, as a result of present status of community linkage education for young children’s character education, both kindergarten and child care centers were actively engaged in the community service of young children and the educational activities using local resources and using local institutions and facilities. Third, as for the demand for the activating the community education network, at early childhood educational institution aspect, teachers needed to provide relevant training and education for the teachers, supplement the teachers who work between educational institutions and community, secure budget and establish a regional cooperative system. At the community aspect, they requested to provide the program information and to place a instructor of the regional organizations and institutions. These results can be used as fundamental data for the activation of the community education network as an alternative system for the character development of young children.
