국문 초록

본 연구에서는 대학생의 의사소통 및 협업능력에 영향을 미치는 관련 변인 간의 구조적 관계를 분석하였다. 선행연구를 토대로 주요 관련 영향요인으로 자기성찰, 공감, 리더십이 선정되었고 연구대상은 지방 중소도시에 소재하고 있는 H대학교의 재학생 1,105명으로 하였다. 분석결과, 대학생의 자기성찰, 공감, 리더십이 의사소통 능력에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 의사소통능력은 협업능력에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 더불어 자기성찰은 공감과 리더십에 직접적인 영향을 미치고, 공감은 리더십에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통해 대학생의 의사소통 및 협업능력은 자기성찰, 공감 및 리더십과 같은 관련 영향요인들이 뒷받침될 때, 다른 사람과 의사소통하고 협업하는 활동경험이 보다 의미 있는 성과로 귀결될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The competencies of communication and collaboration are essential abilities for university students preparing for the upcoming era of the fourth industrial revolution. The competencies of communication and collaboration are complexly intertwined with other related factors, and they can be difficult to be properly applied in a certain situation, if they are considered simply as superficial knowledge and functional skills. This study considers and analyzes the related factors that affect the competencies of communication and collaboration for university students, and it aims to establish the structural inter-relationships among those factors. First, the study found that university students self-reflection, empathy and leadership directly affect effective communication with others. Second, it was found that the communicative competency has a direct influence on the competency of collaboration. Furthermore, self-reflection affects empathy and leadership, and empathy also affects leadership. In order to have university students successfully enhance and utilize the desirable levels of communication and collaboration, the relative factors such as self-reflection, empathy and leadership must be importantly required to be developed in advance through educational supports. Thus, the experiences of appropriate communication and collaboration with other fellows could eventually result in better performance and meaningful learning experiences.
