한국어 학습자의 읽기 전략의 상위인지 양상 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 외국어로서의 한국어 학습자의 읽기 전략에 대한 상위 인지 양상을 측정하고 분석함으로써, 한국어 읽기 전략의 상위인지에 대한 기초적, 실증적 정보를 제공하고 교육적 함의를 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 2017년 12월부터 2018년 2월 중순까지 한국어 학습자 172명을 대상으로 상위인지 인식 검사지 (MARSI)를 활용한 설문 조사를 실시하고, 그 결과를 SPSS를 사용하여 통계적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과에 따르면, 한국어 학습자의 읽기 전략에 대한 상위인지 양상은 문제 해결 전략, 지원 전략, 총체적 전략의 순으로 높게 나타났다. 학습자 수준에 따른 양상 차이는 통계적으로 유의미하며, 학습자 수준이 높을수록 읽기 전략에 대한 상위인지 인식이 높았다. 특히 초급에 비해 중, 고급 학습자의 상위인지가 두드러지게 높았다. 읽기 효능감에 따른 읽기 전략의 상위인지 역시 통계적으로 유의미하며, 효능감이 높을수록 읽기 전략에 대한 상위인지 양상이 높았다. 그러나 효능감이 낮은 집단과 보통인 집단 간의 양상 차이는 통계적으로 유의미하지 않았다. 외국어로서의 한국어 학습자의 읽기 전략에 대한 상위인지를 측정하고 통계적으로 분석한 연구가 거의 없었으므로, 본 연구는 한국어 교육에서 읽기 전략과 관련된 기초적, 실증적 자료로 널리 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

This study aims to measure the metacognition of Korean learners as a foreign language with Metacognitive Awareness of Reading Strategies Inventory (MARSI) and provide statistical analysis of the results in basic Korean education as a foreign language and derive educational implications. In order to meet the objectives, it were used the metacognition items of MARSI to investigate the perception aspects of learners. As a result, the metacognition of reading by Korean learners was demonstrated in the following order: problem solving strategies, support strategies, and overall strategies. In addition, there was a significant difference in the level of learners, which found that the higher the learner’s level, the higher awareness. In particular, it was found that cognitive view of intermediate and advanced level learning was more statistically significant than basic level. The higher the reading self-efficacy, the higher the metacognitive awareness for reading strategies. However, for groups with low and not high, the differences between the two groups were not statistically significant. Although it emphasized the importance of the metacognitive strategies of Korean learners as a foreign language, few research has been done to measure the metacognitive aspects of learners and analyze the results statistically. Therefore, this study may help to compose the educational materials and methods for learner oriented Korean reading strategies and based on the practical information by providing empirical data on the Metacognitive Awareness of reading strategies for Korean learners.
