전공 학과 국가자격증 취득 유무에 따른 전문대학 신입생의 대학생활적응과 진로정체감에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 전공 학과의 국가자격취득 유무에 따라 전문대학 신입생의 대학생활적응과 진로정체감 간 차이와 그 영향력을 살펴보는 데에 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 P광역시에 있는 D 전문대학 2015학년도 신입생 1,292명이었다. 연구결과 국가 자격증을 취득하지 않는 학과의 경우, 대학생활 적응 관련 변인 중 가정의 경제적 지원을 제외한 모든 변인과 진로정체감과 유의미한 상관이 있었던 반면 국가 자격증을 취득하는 학과의 신입생의 진로정체감은 대학 생활적응 관련 모든 변인과 높은 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 국가자격증을 취득하지 않는 경우 학습 습관, 개방성과 의사소통 및 유대감 그리고 대학의 사회활동 지원과 재정 안내가 진로정체감에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변인이었으며 국가자격증을 취득하는 경우는 학습습관, 의사소통과 유대감, 교수와의 상호작용, 가정의 경제적 지원, 대학의 학문 지원이 진로정체성에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변인으로 나타났다. 이와 같이 전문대학 신입생의 전공 학과 선택에서 국가자격증 유무에 따른 대학생활 적응과 진로정체감 차이를 발견하고 국가자격증 외 대학생의 진로성숙을 도울 수 있는 대학의 지원 방안에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences of college life adaptation and career identity of freshmen in colleges and its influence on whether they have acquired a national certificates of their chosen majors upon graduation. The subjects of this study were 1,292 freshmen students for the school year 2015 at D College in P city, and were researched using a survey. The results of the study are as follows: First, among the variables related to college life adaptation, the highest difference was recorded in career identity and college academic support, based on whether they have acquired a national certificates at the time of graduation. There were also significant differences in academic habits, basic learning ability, and family’s emotional support. Second, in the case of freshmen students who did not acquire national certificates, it showed that all variables related to college life adaptation were found to have a significant correlation with career identity, with the exception of economic support from the family. On the other hand, those students who have acquired a national certificates had a high correlation with all variables related to college life adjustment. Lastly, for those who have not acquired a national qualification, it showed that college life adaptation had a relatively high impact on career identity, college social life support, financial support guidance, learning habits, openness, and communication ties. For those who have acquired a national certificates, college life adaptation had a significant effect on learning habits, communication and community, interaction with professors, academic support from the college, and gender. As such, this paper has discussed the difference in college life adaptation and career identity according to whether students have acquired a national certificates in the selection of their major course, and discussed the support of colleges which can help students’ career maturity.
