국내외 고등학교 과학 교과서의 신재생 에너지 내용 및 탐구 활동 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 2009 개정 교육 과정의 고등학교 ‘과학’ 교과서 7종의 신재생 에너지 관련 단원을 조사하여 본문 내용과 삽화, 탐구 활동을 분석하고 우리나라 현실에 맞는 신재생 에너지 교육이 이루어질 수 있도록 개선 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 16종의 국내외 과학 교과서를 선정하여 신재생 에너지의 종류와 내용, 삽화, 탐구 활동을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 9종의 외국 교과서에 비해 우리나라 과학 교과서는 많은 종류의 신재생 에너지를 다루고 있지만 원리 및 장․단점은 간략하게 다루고 있었다. 그리고 신재생 에너지의 장치 모습 삽화는 크게 제시되어 있으나 삽화 속에 원리가 표현되어 있지 않았으며, 대부분의 교과서가 2개 이상의 탐구 활동을 포함하고 있으나 간단한 조작 활동에 그치고 있어 신재생 에너지의 특징과 의미를 이해하는데 충분하지 못하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 교과서의 신재생 에너지 관련 내용 구성의 시사점을 도출하였다.

영문 초록

The study will examine the seven sections related to renewable energy in the high school science textbook of the revised curriculum in 2009 to analyze the text, illustrations and inquiry activities, and suggest ways to improve new and renewable energy education to meet the nation s realities. In this study, 16 domestic and foreign science textbooks were selected to analyze the types and contents of renewable energy, illustrations, and inquiry activities. The analysis showed that compared to nine foreign textbooks, Korea s science textbooks cover many kinds of renewable energy, but the principles and weaknesses were briefly addressed. In addition, although device illustrations of renewable energy have been shown extensively, the principles were not expressed in the illustrations, and most textbooks contained more than two inquiry activities, but were not sufficient to understand the characteristics and meaning of renewable energy. Based on these findings, this study drew implications for the composition of contents related to renewable energy in textbooks.
