국문 초록

본 연구는 정보의 제한에 따라 실험대상자들이 착시를 일으키는 상황을 분석한다. 기존의 연구들은 “다양한” 정보와 착시의 관계를 분석하는데 초점을 맞추고 있지만, 본 연구는 더 나아가 “추가적” 정보와 착시의 관계를 분석하려고 한다. 본 연구에서 생리적 착시는 인간의 비합리성에 따른 것이 아니라, 유전에 따른 진화적으로 효율적인 현상이라고 가정한다. 따라서 본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 도킨스의 실험과 유사한 실험을 하며, 두 실험의 차이점은 두 가지이다. 첫째, 추가된 정보가 착시에 영향을 주는지에 대해 분석한다. 둘째, 정보와 착시의 관계에 성별에 따른 차이가 있는지 알아본다. 본 연구에서 도출한 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째 정보가 많을수록 착시율이 항상 감소하는 것은 아니며, “획일적” 추가정보는 착시율을 증가시키고 “다양한” 추가정보는 착시율을 감소시킨다. 둘째, 첫 번째 결과는 성별로 차이가 없다. 본 연구 결과에 따르면 착시율과 추가정보의 관계는 정보의 정확도에 영향을 받는다. 이는 인간의 비합리성보다 제한된 합리성을 지지하는 결과로 해석할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes the situations in which the experimental subject are under the physiological illusion due to the limitation of information. Existing studies focus on analysis of the relationship between the “diverse” information and the illusion. But this study, further, analyzes the relationship between the “additional” information and the illusion. In this study, the physiological illusion supposes not irrationality of humans, but heredity and the consequential evolutionally efficient phenomenon. Therefore, this study’s the experiments performed in this study are similar to those of Dawkins. The differences between the two experiments are two-fold: First, this study analyzes whether the amount of added information affects the illusion; second, this study reviews whether there is a gender difference regarding the optical illusion. The main results obtained in this study are as follows. First, the “uniform” additional information increases the illusion rate and the “diverse” one reduces the illusion rate. Second, there is no gender difference regarding the first result. This study shows that humans can reduce optical illusions with more accurate information, which is the result supporting bounded rationality than irrationality of humans.
