간호학과 남학생들의 학과 적응 과정

국문 초록

본 연구는 간호학과의 남학생들을 대상으로 학과 적응 과정의 구성요소와 도움을 주는 요인을 밝혀냄으로써 중재에 필요한 자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 본 연구방법은 Strauss & Corbin (1998)이 제안한 질적 연구 방법론으로 2016년 4월부터 8월까지 심층면담 방법으로 자료를 수집하였다. 요즘 학교생활은 어떠하십니까? 의 질문으로 면접은 1~2시간 정도 걸렸으며 자료 분석은 Strauss & Corbin (1998)이 제공한 개방 코딩 , 축 코딩 및 선택적 코딩 에 따라 수행되었다. 본 연구 결과는 남자 간호 대학생들의 적응 경험에 대한 패러다임 분석을 통해 인과적 조건이 학과의 특이성 이고 주된 현상은 불편함 이며 맥락적 조건은 ‘성별 차이’와 ‘사회적 편견 . 또한 중재적 조건은 ‘의미(지원 동기) , 작용/상호 작용 전략은 비전을 위한 인내 과 상호보완 을 이끌어내는 도전 정신 이다. 본 연구결과는 간호학과 남학생들의 학과 적응 과정에 대한 전반적인 이해를 통해보다 학과 적응을 돕는 기초 자료로 활용 될 수 있겠다.

영문 초록

The main purpose of this study is to provide the necessary information for educational intervention by discovering the components and factors related to the adaptation process of male students in the department of nursing. This qualitative research suggested by Strauss & Corbin(1998) and data collection had been conducted from April to August, 2016 using in-depth interview method. It was started with an open-ended question with How are you doing at school these days? and the interview took about one to two hours. Data analysis was conducted according to open coding , axial coding , and selective coding provided by Strauss & Corbin(1998). As a result of category analysis by paradigm about the research on male nursing students adaptation experience in the department, it was found that causal condition is academic specificity , and main phenomenon is uncomfortableness , and contextual condition is gender difference and social prejudice . Also, it was represented that interventional condition is putting meanings(motive for application) , and action/interaction strategy is challenge spirit(vision) , which led to endurance for vision and complementaries . These results suggest that this study can be used as a basic data which help male students adapt more well through wide comprehension about the adaptation process in the department of nursing.
