국문 초록

본 연구는 2015 개정교육과정에 따라 출판된 5종의 영어교과서 문법 영역을 분석한다. 우리나라와 같은 EFL 환경에서 학습자가 영어를 자연스레 습득하기 위한 입력(input)의 양이 충분치 않으므로 효과적인 문법 수업 설계는 제2언어 습득에서 중요한 역할을 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 영어교과서 문법 영역이 학습자의 말하기 및 쓰기 능력 개발을 위해 효과적으로 구성되었는지 분석하고자 한다. 2015 개정교육과정에 따라 출판된 11종의 교과서 중 5종을 선정하여 영어과 교육과정 중 고등학교 급에서 추구하는 목표에 따라 영어 의사소통 능력 개발을 위해 문법영역 구성이 효과적인지 판단하는 세 가지 분석기준을 선정하였다. 첫째, 지속적 동기 유발을 위하 단원별 문법 선정이 연계성을 갖는가? 둘째, 교과서 문법영역이 의미적 상황제시를 위해 영어 교육과정의 말하기 및 쓰기 영역 내용요소를 적절히 반영하였는가? 셋째, 교과서 문법영역은 영어 사용 능력 개발을 위한 충분한 연습활동을 제시하였는가? 교실수업에서 교사가 학습자의 의사소통 능력을 촉진할 수 있도록 교과서의 문법 영역을 효과적으로 구성하는 것은 EFL 환경에서 가장 중요한 열쇠이다.

영문 초록

In this paper, it analyzes the grammar parts in the 5 English textbooks published according to 2015 Revised Curriculum. Because the amount of input is not sufficient for the English learners to “naturally” acquire the target language(English) in EFL environment, effective classroom design for grammar can play an important role for the acquisition of the target language. To get the answer, this paper analyzes the grammar parts of English textbooks to check whether they are constructed well to develop learners’ speaking and writing competence. The standards of analysis are as follows; First, are the grammar parts constructed well to maintain motivation to study considering the sequence of grammar points? Second, do the grammar parts consider the content elements for speaking and writing appropriately to provide meaningful contexts? Third, do the textbooks contain abundant and various exercises so that students can make use of the grammatical knowledge for developing speaking and writing ability? Thus, the effective construction of grammar parts in the textbook is the key for English teachers can help EFL learners to acquire communicative competence.
