고교 학점제와 IB 교육과정상의 연계성 탐구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 현재 중요하게 각광받고 있으며, 실제 학교 현장에서 적용 가능성이 높을 것으로 예상되는 고교 학점제와 IB 교육과정과의 연계성을 분석하는 데에 초점을 둔다. 고교 학점제는 다양한 측면에서 이해될 수 있는 가능성을 지니고 있으며, 장차 고교 교육의 큰 변화를 도모할 것으로 예상된다. 국제 바칼로레아 교육과정의 경우, 학교교육의 전반적인 측면에서 매우 혁신적인 변화를 몰고 올 수 있는 새로운 시스템이다. 특히 교육과정 재구성, 수업방법, 평가의 측면에서 중요한 변화를 시도할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 양자 간이 지니는 관련성을 다양한 측면에서 살펴보고, 그 교육과정적 의미를 분석해보기로 한다. 이에 따른 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교육과정 목표에 있어서는 국제적 마인드, 학문적 소양, 자주성이라는 점에서 연계성을 지니고 있다. 둘째, 교과 운영에 있어서는 공통과목과 선택과목이 있다는 점에서 연계성을 보이고 있다. 셋째, 수업방법에 있어서는 학생 참여형 중심 수업이라는 점에서 동질성을 보이고 있다. 넷째, 평가 상으로는 절대평가를 중심으로 한다는 점에서 연계성을 살펴볼 수 있다. 이러한 연계성 아래 현재 주목받고 있는 고교학점제와 IB 교육과정이 실제 연결되면 교육과정 변화에 있어 더욱 시너지 효과를 발생할 수 있을 것으로 전망한다.

영문 초록

This study focuses on analyzing the connection between the high school credit system and the IB curriculum, which have recently emerged as important and are expected to be highly applicable in actual school settings. The high school credit system has aspects that can be understood in various aspects and predicts a big change in high school education. On the other hand, the International Baccalaureate curriculum is a new system that can bring about a revolutionary change in the overall aspect of school education. Especially, important changes can be tried in terms of curriculum reconstruction, teaching methods, and evaluation. This study has a purpose to examine the bilateral relations in various aspects, and to analyze its curricular meaning. The results of the study are as follows. First, in terms of curriculum goals, they are common in terms of international mind, academic literacy, and agency. Second, in terms of curriculum administration, there is a link between common subjects and elective subjects. Third, in terms of teaching methods, it shows homogeneity in that both of them are student-centered. Fourth, in terms of evaluation, it is possible to look at the linkage in that they are based on absolute evaluation. Under this linkage, when high school credit system and IB curriculum are directly linked, it is expected that the curriculum change will be more synergistic.
