대학생의 학과만족 척도 개발 및 타당화

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 대학생의 학과만족 척도를 개발하고 성별과 전공 계열에 따른 측정 동일성을 검증하였다. 방법 연구 결과 도출을 위해 본 연구에서는 서울 소재 A 대학교 재학생 총 1,775명의 설문자료를 토대로 분석하였다. 설문자료를 두 개의 표본으로 무작위로 분할하여 표본 하나는 문항 분석과 요인 구조 탐색을 위한 탐색적 요인 분석에, 또 다른 표본은 구인 타당도 및 측정 동일성 검증을 위한 확인적 요인 분석에 활용하였다. 결과 탐색적⋅확인적 요인 분석 결과, 학과만족 척도의 4개 요인(교과만족, 관계만족, 인식만족, 일반만족)이 도출되었으며, 4개 요인의 20개 문항으로 구성된 학과만족 척도의 구인 타당도가 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 성별과 전공 계열(인문⋅사회/자연⋅공학/예체능 계열)에 따른 측정 동일성 검증 결과, 성별 및 모든 전공 계열 간 학과만족 척도의 형태, 요인 부하량, 절편, 오차분산이 동일한 것으로 나타났다. 각 요인의 신로도 또한 안정적인 수준이었다. 결론 본 연구에서 개발한 학과만족 척도의 구인 타당도와 신뢰도가 양호하고 성별과 전공 계열에 따른 측정 동일성이 검증되어 본 척도가 성별과 전공 계열에 관계없이 활용 가능한 안정적인 척도임이 확인되었다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to develop Satisfaction with Academic Department Scale (SADS) and testing measurement invariance by gender and major field for university students in South Korea. Methods The survey dataset of 1,775 students was randomly split into two samples. One of them was used for exploratory factor analysis, and the other one was used for confirmatory factor analysis. Results The results of the exploratory factor analysis indicated that SADS consisted of four factors (i.e.,‘course satisfaction’, ‘relationship satisfaction’, ‘perception satisfaction’, ‘general satisfaction’). The confirmatory factor analysis confirmed that the SADS consisted of 4 factors with 20 items in satisfactory model fit indices. Moreover, measurement invariance by gender and major field (humanities⋅social science/natural sciences⋅engineering/ arts⋅physical education) were strictly supported. The internal consistencies of the items for each sub-factor of SADS were also reliable. Conclusions It is expected that SADS will be useful instrument to measure the satisfaction with academic department for university students regardless of gender and major field.
