한국 EFL 듣기수업 대학생의 자율성, 능력, 연관성인지와 학습 동기에 관한 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 한국 EFL 듣기수업 대학생의 자율성, 능력 그리고 연관성에 대한 인식은 어떠한가, 또한 학생들의 이러한 인식은 그들의 학습 동기와 어떤 관련이 있는지 알아보고자 한다. 방법 본 연구는 기술통계와 상관관계를 이용한 양적연구방법이 사용되었으며, 인터뷰 또한 진행되었다. 한국 대학 EFL 듣기수업을 수강하는 22명 학생이 연구에 참여하였으며, SDT에서 발췌한 15문항으로 이루어진 설문을 하였다. 설문은 영어와 한국어 모두 제공되었다. 결과 연구 결과에 의하면, 본 연구에 참여한 학생들은 자신들의 자율감에 의해 동기유발이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 학습 동기 향상에 있어 능력이나 연관성에 대한 인지는 연관은 있으나 자율감보다는 약한 것으로 나타났다. 결론 연구 결론은 연구 결과의 활용과 연구수행에 따르는 제약에 관한 논의로 끝을 맺었다. 교사들은 학생들의 학습 동기를 높이기 위해 학생들의 자율성을 지지한다는 인식을 학생들이 할 수 있게 하는 것이 학생 동기유발을 위해 매우 중요하다.

영문 초록

Objectives According to the Self-Determination Theory (SDT), learner perceptions of their autonomy, com-petence and relatedness are the most important factors in understanding human motivation. The primary purpose of the study is to examine these three components may relate to the classroom motivation of Korean university EFL listening class students. Methods This was a quantitative study, using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and interview as well. A total of 22 Korean university EFL listening class students participated in the study. A total of 15 survey ques-tionnaires taken from SDT were administered in English and Korean. Results Findings of the study showed that these Korean university students were mostly driven by a sense of self-autonomy in developing their motivation to learn. A sense of competence or relatedness were of lesser im-portance in enhancing motivation. Conclusions The study concluded with a discussion of study implications and limitations. Teachers make sure that students feel their teacher support their self-autonomy to enhance students’ classroom motivation to learn.
