청소년이 지각한 부모의 부정적 양육태도가 스마트폰 과의존에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 청소년이 지각하는 부모의 부정적 양육태도, 자아존중감, 공격성 및 스마트폰 과의존간의 구조적 관계를 확인하고, 부모의 부정적 양육태도가 스마트폰 과의존에 미치는 영향에서 자아존중감과 공격성의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 한국 아동·청소년 패널조사 2018(Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey: KCYPS)의 3차년도 자료를 활용하여, 총 2,359명의 중학교 3학년 학생(남학생 1,262명, 여학생 1,097명)을 최종 자료로 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0을 활용하여 기술통계 분석, Pearson의 상관관계분석을 하였고 AMOS 21.0을 통해 구조모형을 검증하였다. 결과 첫째, 부정적 양육태도, 자아존중감, 공격성, 스마트폰 과의존의 상관분석 결과 모든 변인 간 유의한 상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 자아존중감과 공격성은 부정적 부모양육태도와 스마트폰 과의존의 관계에서 각각 부분매개효과가 나타났다. 셋째, 자아존중감과 공격성은 부정적 부모양육태도와 스마트폰 과의존의 관계에서 순차적으로 스마트폰 과의존에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 이는 청소년이 지각하는 부모의 부정적 양육태도가 높을수록 낮은 자아존중감을 보이고, 이는 다시 높은 공격성을 유발하여 스마트폰 과의존을 높이는데 유의한 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미한다. 청소년의 스마트폰 과의존을 낮추기 위해서 스마트폰 과의존 예방 교육과 함께 자아존중감 향상 및 공격성 감소를 위한 교육 및 상담이 필요할 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purposes of this study were to analyze the structural relationships among negative parenting atti-tudes perceived by adolescents, self-esteem, aggression, and smartphone overdependence and to investigate the mediating effect of self-esteem and aggression on the relationship between negative parenting attitudes and smartphone overdependence. Methods For this purpose, 2,359 students(1,262 males and 1,097 females) in the third year of middle school were selected as subjects using data from the Korean Children and Youths Panel Survey(KCYPS) 2018. For the col-lected data, descriptive statistical analysis, Pearson's correlation analysis were performed using SPSS 23.0 and the structural model was verified through AMOS 21.0. Results First, the correlation analysis of negative parenting attitudes, self-esteem, aggression, and smartphone overdependence showed significant correlations among all variables. Second, self-esteem and aggression each had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between negative parenting attitudes and smartphone over-dependence. Third, self-esteem and aggression sequentially influenced smartphone overdependence in the relationship between negative parenting attitudes and smartphone overdependence. Conclusions This means that the higher the adolescents' perceived negative parenting, the lower their self-esteem, which in turn leads to higher aggression, which has a significant effect on increasing smartphone overdependence. In order to reduce smartphone overdependence among adolescents, education and counseling to improve self-esteem and reduce aggression are needed along with smartphone overdependence prevention education.
