초등교사의 생애 단계와 심리적 소진 간 관계연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 초등교사의 생애 단계와 심리적 소진 간 어떠한 관계가 있는지 파악하고 심리적 지원이 필요한 내용을 포착하여초등교사가 심리적 지원을 받을 수 있는 방안을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 데 있다. 방법 이를 위하여 전국 초등교사 124명을 대상으로 배경 변인 및 생애 단계 조사, 심리적 소진 검사(TBI)를 실시하였다. 자료수집결과는 SPSS 통계프로그램을 활용하여 연구대상의 일반적 특성을 알아보기 위해 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였고, 배경변인에 따른심리적 소진 관계를 분석하기 위하여 독립표본 t검정과 ANOVA를 실시하였다. 각 생애단계와 심리소진의 상관관계를 파악하기 위하여 상관분석을 실시하였으며, 초등교사의 배경 변인과 생애 단계가 심리적 소진에 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위하여 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 초등교사의 배경변인인 연령, 학교규모, 교권침해 경험, 심리적 지원 경험 여부, 심리적 지원의 필요성 여부가 심리적소진에 유의한 차이를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 초등교사의 생애 단계와 심리적 소진 간 상관관계는 적응기에는 교직회의감과, 자립기에는 행정업무 부담감 및 교직회의감과, 퇴직 준비기에는 교권에대한 위기감 및 좌절감, 행정업무 부담감, 교직 회의감과유의한 정(+)적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 위계적 회귀분석 결과, 초등교사의 생애단계 중 자립기, 퇴직 준비기, 열정기에 해당하는 초등 교사들의 심리적 소진이 더 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 위계적 회귀분석 결과 1, 2단계 모두 심리적 소진에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 분석 결과에 기초하여 볼 때, 첫째, 초등교사의 각 생애 단계에서 자립기, 퇴직 준비기, 열정기에 해당하는 교사를 위한 특별한관리 및 심리적 지원이 필요하다. 둘째, 초등교사들이 심리적 지원이 필요하다고 95.2%나 응답하였다. 이러한 비율은 교사들의절실한 요구로 보여지며 이러한 점에 주목해야 함을 시사한다. 셋째, 본 연구는 초등교사의 심리적 소진에 대한 이해와 관심이 매우필요할뿐만 아니라 교사들의 심리적 소진 회복과 지원관련 연구의 기초자료를 제공할 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between elementary school teacher's life stages and psychological exhaustion, capture content that requires psychological support, and provide basic data for ways for elementary school teacher to receive psychological support. Methods For this purpose, a background variable and life stage survey and a psychological burnout test (TBI) were conducted on 124 elementary school teacher nationwide. The data collection results were obtained using the spss statistical program. Frequencies and percentages were calculated to determine the general characteristics of the study subjects, and independent samples t-test and ANOVA were conducted to analyze the relationship between psychological exhaustion according to background variables Results First, the background variables of elementary school teachers such as age, school size, experience of violation of teaching rights, experience of psychological support, and need for psychological support were found to show significant differences in psychological exhaustion. Second, the correlation between the life stage and psychological exhaustion of elementary school teachers is significant with a sense of skepticism about the teaching profession during the adjustment period, the burden of administrative work and skepticism about the teaching profession during the independence stage, and a sense of crisis and frustration with teaching authority, the burden of administrative work, and skepticism about the teaching profession during the preparation period for retirement. It was found that there was a positive (+) correlation. Third, as a result of hierarchical regression analysis, it was found that psychological exhaustion was greater among elementary school teachers in the independence, retirement preparation, and passion stages among the life stages of elementary school teachers. As a result of hierarchical regression analysis, psychological exhaustion was found to be greater in both stages 1 and 2. It was found to have a statistically significant effect. Conclusions Based on the analysis results, first, special management and psychological support are needed for elementary school teachers in each stage of their life: independence, retirement preparation, and passion. Second, 95.2% of elementary school teachers responded that they needed psychological support. This ratio appears to be an urgent need for teachers and suggests that attention should be paid to this. Third, this study will not only greatly require understanding and interest in the psychological burnout of elementary school teachers, but will also provide basic data for research related to the recovery and support of teachers' psychological burnout.
