초등 교원양성기관 졸업자의 노동시장 성과 및 영향요인 변화 분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 최근 사회적 문제로 대두되고 있는 초등 교원수급 문제의 배경을 살펴보고, 초등 교원양성기관 졸업자의 노동시장성과의 변화 및 노동시장 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인의 변화를 분석하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 한국고용정보원의 대졸자 직업 이동 경로 조사 (GOMS)의 2009, 2019 데이터를 활용하여 초등 교육과 졸업생315명을 분석하였다. 2019년 GOMS의 170명 졸업생과 2009년 GOMS의 145명 졸업생 데이터에 가중치를 적용하여 사용하였다. 노동시장 결과 및 변화를 분석하기 위해 빈도분석과 기술통계를 사용했으며, 교차 분석과 로지스틱 회귀 분석을 활용하여 졸업생들의 노동시장 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하였다. 분석 도구로는 STATA 15.0을 사용하였다. 결과 2009년 졸업생과 비교했을 때, 2019년 졸업생은 미취업률이 8%p 상승하고 비정규직 취업률이 7%p 상승하며 정규직 취업률은 15%p 하락하였다. 정규 초등 교원 진출 비율을 살펴보았을 때, 2019년 졸업생의 정규 초등 교원의 비율은 10%p 감소하고기간제 교사 비율이 11%p 증가하였다. 취업에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 2009년 졸업생의 경우 성별이, 2019년 졸업생의 경우학자금 대출 여부⋅직업 심리검사 참여 및 면접 이력서 프로그램 참여가 취업 영향 요인으로 나타났다. 정규 초등 교원 취업 영향요인으로는 2009년 졸업생의 경우 성별⋅학교 만족도⋅재학 중 일자리 경험 및 직업 심리검사 참여 여부가, 2019년 졸업생의 경우 졸업평점 백분율과 학교 소재지가 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 연구 결과를 바탕으로 중장기적 관점에서의 초등교원 양성 및 수급 정책 실행의 필요성에 대해 논의하였고, 단기적으로는 재학생을 위한 다양한 진로 취업 지원 프로그램 확대의 필요성을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to examine the background of the current social issue of elementary teacher supply and demand, and to analyze changes in the labor market outcomes of graduates from elementary teacher training institutions, and identify influencing factors. Methods Data from the Korean Employment Information Institute's 2009, 2019 Graduates' Occupational Mobility Survey (GOMS) of 315 elementary education graduates were used. Weighted variables were applied to the 2019 GOMS data for 170 graduates and the 2009 GOMS data for 145 graduates. Frequency analysis and descriptive statistics were used to analyze labor market outcomes among graduates. Cross-tabulation and logistic regression analysis were employed to identify factors influencing their employment using STATA 15.0. Results Compared to 2009 graduates, 2019 graduates experienced an 8% rise in unemployment, a 7% increase in irregular employment, and a 15% drop in regular employment. There was a 10% decrease in regular elementary teaching positions and an 11% increase in temporary teaching positions among 2019 graduates. Factors affecting employment differed: gender for 2009 graduates, while student loan status, participation in job psychology tests, and interview resume program participation were significant for 2019 graduates. Gender, school satisfaction, on-campus job experience, and participation in job psychology tests were influential for 2009 graduates, while graduation grade percentile and school location were significant for 2019 graduates. Conclusions Based on these findings, the study emphasizes the necessity of long-term perspectives in elementary teacher training and supply policy and the need for expanding career and employment support programs for current students in the short term.
