유아기 자녀를 양육하는 어머니의 모-자녀 애착 인식에 관한 주관성 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 양육하는 어머니가 인식하는 ‘모-자녀 애착’에 대해 알아보기 위하여 Q방법론을 활용하여 인식의유형을 분류하고 그 특성을 알아보고자 한다. 방법 문헌분석과 심층면담을 통하여 확보된 총 145개의 진술문 중 40문항의 Q표본을 구성하였으며, 첫째 또는 외동의 만 3~5세유아를 주 양육하는 한국 국적의 어머니 33명을 P표본으로 선정, Q분류를 실시하였고 QUANL Program을 이용하여 분석을 진행하였다. 결과 유아기 자녀를 양육하는 어머니의 모-자녀 애착 인식에 대한 유형은 다섯 가지의 유형으로 분류되었다. 1유형은 자녀에게 사랑을 표현하며, 긍정적인 감정을 주고 받는 ‘사랑스럽고 친밀한 긍정적 정서 애착 유형’, 2유형은 엄마의 역할에 의해 자신보다 자녀를 우선으로 생각하지만 이로 인해 부정적 감정을 느끼는 ‘엄마라는 역할의 양가적 정서 애착 유형’, 3유형은 부모인 자신과 자녀에대해 부정적으로 느끼는 ‘혼란스럽고 부정적인 불안정 애착 유형’, 4유형은 자녀가 적극적으로 세상을 탐색하는 것을 인정하고 지지해주는 ‘자녀의 주도성을 존중하는 자율적인 관계 애착 유형’, 5유형은 자녀를 잘 이해하고 관계를 즐기면서 규칙과 한계를 정확하게알려주는 ‘경계를 제시하는 권위있는 관계 애착 유형’으로 명명하였다. 결론 본 연구결과는 유아기 자녀를 양육하는 어머니가 인식하는 애착에 대한 주관적인 생각을 알아보고 분류하였다는 것에 연구로서의 가치를 지니며, 연구결과가 양육자 상담 및 교육 프로그램 등의 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to explore perceptions of mother-child attachment in mothers with preschoolers. This study aims to classify types of perception and investigate their characteristics using the Q methodology. Methods To this end, 145 statements were created through literature analysis and in-depth interviews, and 40 statements were selected among them to create Q-sample. A total of 33 Korean mothers raising their firstborn or only child were chosen as the P-sample, and Q-sorting was conducted. Subsequently, the analysis was conducted using the QUANL Program. Results The study results were classified into five types. Type 1 was ‘affectionate and intimate positive emotional attachment type’, characterized by expressing love to their children and fostering positive emotions. Type 2 was ‘ambivalent emotional attachment type to the maternal role’, where mothers prioritize their children over themselves due to their maternal role but experience negative emotions. Type 3 was ‘confused and negative insecure attachment type’, displaying negativity towards themselves as parents and their children. Type 4 was ‘autonomous relationship attachment type that respects children's initiative’, acknowledging and supporting their children's proactive exploration of the world. Type 5 was ‘authoritative relationship attachment type’, characterized by a good understanding of their children, enjoying the relationship, and setting clear rules and boundaries. Conclusions The results of this study have research value in that they investigate and categorize the subjective thoughts of mothers who are raising preschool-aged children regarding attachment. It is expected to be used as basic data for parenting counseling and educational program development for mothers with preschool children.
