유아교사의 임파워먼트가 교사효능감에 미치는 영향에서 직업가치인식의 매개효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 유아교사의 임파워먼트가 교사효능감에 영향을 미치는 관계에서 직업가치인식의 두 하위요인인 내적 직업가치인식과 외적 직업가치인식이 매개역할을 하는지를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 방법 연구목적 달성을 위해 경상남도에 위치한 공립 및 사립 유치원에 재직 중인 유아교사 207명이 응답한 임파워먼트, 직업가치인식, 교사효능감 자료에 대해 기술통계, 상관분석, 매개효과 분석을 실시하였다. 매개효과 분석을 위해 Process macro 4번 모델을활용하여, 유아교사의 임파워먼트가 교사효능감에 영향을 미치는 관계에서 직업가치인식의 하위요인인 내적 직업가치인식과 외적직업가치인식이 매개 역할을 하는지 검증하였다. 결과 첫째, 상관분석에서 유아교사의 임파워먼트와 교사효능감은 정적 상관관계이었다. 그러나 직업가치인식 하위요인에서 유아교사의 내적 직업가치인식은 임파워먼트, 교사효능감과 정적 상관관계이었지만, 외적 직업가치인식은 임파워먼트와 부적 상관관계이었고, 교사효능감과는 유의하지 않았다. 둘째, 내·외적 직업가치인식의 매개효과를 분석한 결과, 유아교사의 임파워먼트가 교사효능감에 영향을 미치는 관계에서 내적 직업가치인식의 간접효과는 유의하였지만 외적 직업가치인식의 간접효과는 유의하지 않았다. 결론 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 유아교사의 교사효능감을 향상시키기 위해 임파워먼트와 내적 직업가치인식을 지원하는 방안이마련될 필요가 있음을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of intrinsic occupational value and extrinsic occupational value, two sub-factors of occupational values, on the relationship between early childhood teachers' empowerment and teacher efficacy. Methods To achieve the research purpose, we analyzed the data from 207 early childhood teachers working in public and private kindergartens located in Gyeongsangnam-do. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and mediating effect analysis were conducted on the variables of empowerment, occupational values, and teacher efficacy. The study aims to verify the mediating effect of intrinsic occupational value and extrinsic occupational value, which are two sub-factors of occupational values, on the relationship between early childhood teachers' empowerment and teacher efficacy. Results The study yielded several findings. Firstly, in the correlation analysis, a positive correlation was observed between early childhood teachers' empowerment and teacher efficacy. However, regarding the sub-factors of occupational values, intrinsic occupational value exhibited a positive correlation with both empowerment and teacher efficacy, whereas extrinsic occupational value showed a negative correlation with empowerment and was not significantly associated with teacher efficacy. Secondly, when analyzing the mediating effect of intrinsic and extrinsic occupational values in the relationship between early childhood teachers' empowerment and teacher efficacy, it was found that the indirect effect of intrinsic occupational value was significant. However, the indirect effect of extrinsic occupational value was not significant. Conclusions Based on these research findings, it was discussed that there is a need to develop a plan to support empowerment and foster intrinsic occupational value in order to enhance the teacher efficacy of early childhood teachers.
