중장년 재취업희망자의 자아존중감과 재취업 욕구 관계에서 성취동기의 매개효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 재취업희망자의 자아존중감과 재취업 욕구 간의 관계에서 성취동기의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 방법 충청북도에 소재한 충북중장년일자리희망센터 재취업교육 참여자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 불성실 응답자를 제외한 재취업희망자 311명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 통계분석은 SPSS 25.0을 이용하여 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관분석을 하였고성취동기의 매개효과를 확인하기 위해 Baron과 Kenny의 3단계 회귀분석과 Sobel test를 하였다. 결과 첫째, 중장년 재취업희망자의 자아존중감, 성취동기, 재취업 욕구 정도를 리커트 5점 척도로 설문한 결과 자아존중감 평균이가장 높게 응답되었다. 둘째, 세 변수의 상관관계는 유의미한 정(+)적 상관관계를 보였고, 하위요인도 대부분 유사한 결과를 보였다. 셋째, 본 연구의 궁극적 목적인 자아존중감과 재취업 욕구 관계에서 성취동기는 완전매개 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 중장년 재취업희망자들의 자아존중감은 성취동기를 매개로 재취업 욕구에 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 이에중장년 재취업희망자들을 대상으로 운영하는 재취업교육에 자아존중감과 성취동기를 중심으로 교육 프로그램 개발, 보완 및 수정한다면 재취업 욕구 증진에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to test the mediating effect of achievement motivation on the relationship between self-esteem and reemployment desire among reemployment seekers. Methods A survey was conducted among the participants of reemployment training at the Chungbuk Middle-aged Job Hope Center in Chungcheongbuk-do, and 311 reemployment hopefuls were analyzed after excluding the non-respondents. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS 25.0 for factor analysis, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis, and Baron and Kenny's three-step regression analysis and Sobel test were used to confirm the mediating effect of achievement motivation. Results First, self-esteem, achievement motivation, and desire to re-enter the workforce were measured on a 5-point Likert scale, with self-esteem having the highest mean. Second, the correlations of the three variables were significantly positive, and the subfactors were mostly similar. Third, achievement motivation was found to have a full mediating effect on the relationship between self-esteem and reemployment desire, which is the ultimate goal of this study. Conclusions Self-esteem of middle-aged reemployment seekers was found to have a significant effect on reemployment desire through achievement motivation. Therefore, it is expected that developing, supplementing, and modifying educational programs centered on self-esteem and achievement motivation in reemployment education for middle-aged reemployment seekers will have a positive impact on promoting reemployment desire.
