부모-자녀의 스마트폰 과의존, 삶의 만족도가 자녀의 우울에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 부모와 청소년 자녀의 스마트폰 과의존이 자신들의 삶의 만족도와 상대방의 삶의 만족도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 자기-상대방 상호의존 모형(APIM)을 적용하여 검증하고, 부모와 자녀의 스마트폰 과의존, 삶의 만족도, 자녀 우울 간의 구조적 관계 및 부모와 자녀의 스마트폰 과의존과 자녀 우울의 관계에서 삶의 만족도가 매개하는지를 살펴보았다. 방법 이를 위하여 한국 아동·청소년 패널조사 2018(Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey:KCYPS)의 3차년도 자료를활용하여, 총 2,276명의 청소년 자녀와 보호자(부 또는 모)를 쌍으로 최종 자료로 사용하였다. 자기-상대방 상호의존모형(APIM) 에 기초하여 자기효과와 상대방효과를 확인하였고, 구조방정식을 사용하여 변인 간의 구조적 관계와 부트스트랩을 통한 매개효과를검증하였다. 결과 첫째, 부모-자녀 스마트폰 과의존은 부모-자녀 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 자기효과가 나타났으며, 부모-자녀 스마트폰과의존이 상대방의 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 상대방효과가 나타났다. 자기-상대방효과 간 크기 비교에서는 자기효과는 자녀간의 자기효과가 더 크게 나타났으며, 상대방효과는 자녀 스마트폰 과의존이 부모 삶의 만족도에 미치는 효과가 더 크게 나타났다. 둘째, 부모-자녀 스마트폰 과의존이 자녀의 우울에 미치는 영향에서 부모-자녀 삶의 만족도가 매개하여 영향을 미치는 것으로 부분매개효과가 나타났다. 결론 청소년 자녀의 우울에는 부모-자녀 스마트폰 과의존과 부모-자녀 삶의 만족도가 영향을 미치고 있으므로, 청소년 자녀의 우울을 낮추기 위해서 청소년의 스마트폰 과의존 예방 교육과 함께 삶의 만족도를 긍정적으로 인식하는 교육이 필요하며, 스마트폰 의존도를 낮추어 삶의 만족도를 높이기 위한 방안을 모색하는 것이 필요할 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study examined how parental and adolescent children's smartphone dependency affects their own life satisfaction and their partner's life satisfaction by applying the actor-partner Interdependence Model (APIM), and examined the structural relationship between parental and child smartphone dependency, life satisfaction, and child depression, and the mediation of life satisfaction on the relationship between parental and child smartphone dependency and child depression. Methods For this purpose, we utilized data from the third year of the Korean Children-Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) 2018, with a total of 2,276 adolescent children and their caregivers (father or mother) in pairs as the final data. Based on the acter-partner interdependence model (APIM), acter-effects and partner-effects were identified, and structural equations were used to test the structural relationships between variables and mediating effects through bootstrapping. Results First, there was a acter-effect of parent-child smartphone dependency on parent-child life satisfaction, and a partner-effect of parent-child smartphone dependency on the other's life satisfaction. Comparing the magnitudes of the self and other effects, the acter-effect was larger among children, and the partner-effect was larger for the effect of child smartphone dependency on parental life satisfaction. Second, a partial mediation effect was found for the effect of parent-child smartphone dependency on child depression, mediated by parent-child life satisfaction. Conclusions Since parent-child smartphone dependency and parent-child life satisfaction are influential on adolescent children's depression, it is necessary to provide education to prevent adolescent children's smartphone dependency and to recognize their life satisfaction positively in order to reduce adolescent children's depression, and to explore ways to increase life satisfaction by reducing smartphone dependency.
