호네트의 인정 이론에 기초한 긍정적 자아관 형성 및 인성교육의 방향 고찰

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 친밀한 인간관계와 상호작용이 약화되고 개인적 경쟁과 효율적 수행이 강조되는 사회적 맥락에서, 호네트의 인정 개념을 통해 개인적으로는 긍정적 자아관을 형성하고 사회적으로는 타인을 배려하며 공공의 가치를 위해 노력하는 인성교육의 바람직한 방향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 방법 본 연구는 먼저 호네트의 주요 저서의 문헌연구를 통해 인정의 교육적 의의와 긍정적 자아관 형성을 고찰한 후, 이를 바탕으로 관련된 논문 및 선행연구의 비판적 해석과 논의를 통해 한국의 인성교육의 쟁점과 주요한 방향을 제시하였다. 결과 인정은 가정에서의 사랑, 시민사회에서의 권리, 국가에서의 연대를 통해 발전하며, 이에 따라 자신감, 자기 존중, 자존감이 발달한다. 인성교육은 근본적으로 서로를 인정하는 태도와 능력을 길러야 하며, 가정과 학교, 사회에서 정서적 배려와 권리 존중, 사회적 가치가 제대로 이루어질 수 있도록 해야 한다. 특히, 인정이 부정되거나 무시될 때 문제의 현실과 원인을 인식하고 훼손된 자존감을 다시 회복하기 위한 개인적이고 집단적인 노력이 필요하다. 학생들은 무시의 경험을 표현하고 공유함으로써 부당한 무시와 불인정을 분명히 인식하고, 이를 극복하기 위해 함께 노력하여 공감과 연대, 비판의식, 도덕적 판단력을 길러야 한다. 결론 우리 교육은 인정의 관계를 바탕으로 서로의 차이와 다양성을 포용하면서 연대와 화합을 유도하는 교육문화와 제도를 발전시켜야 한다. 이를 위해, 다양한 학생들의 독특한 가치는 동등하게 존중되고 인정되어야 한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study attempted to examine the desirable direction of personality education that forms a positive self-view through recognition and cares for others in a social context where close human relationships and interactions are weakened, personal competition and efficient performance are emphasized. Methods To this end, literature study, critical interpretation, and discussion were conducted on Hornet's books, papers, and related prior studies. Results Recognition develops through love at home, rights in civil society, and solidarity in the state, and accordingly, self-confidence, self-respect, and self-esteem develop. Based on the relationship of recognition, our education should develop educational culture and institutions that embrace differences and diversity while encouraging solidarity and harmony. The unique values of various students should be equally respected and recognized. Conclusions Personality education should fundamentally foster the attitude and ability to recognize each other and self-recognition, and to ensure that emotional consideration, respect for rights, and social value are properly achieved at home, school, and society. In particular, when recognition is denied or ignored, personal and collective efforts are needed to recognize the reality and cause of the problem and restore damaged self-esteem again. Students should clearly recognize unfair neglect and disapproval by expressing and sharing the experience of neglect, and strive together to overcome it to develop empathy, solidarity, critical consciousness, and moral judgment.
