전환기 초등학생용 진로교육프로그램 개발을 위한 요구분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 중학교 입학을 앞 둔 전환기 초등학생을 위한 진로교육프로그램 개발에 필요한 진로교육 활동 및 요소를 알아보기 위하여 수행되었다. 방법 이를 위하여 2020년 11월 2일부터 11월 10일까지 조사가 진행되었으며, 연구대상은 청주시내 W초등학교 교원 32명, 6학년 학생 82명 이었다. 조사 내용은 2015 개정 진로교육과정의 자기 이해와 사회적 역량개발, 일과 직업세계 이해, 진로 탐색, 진로디자인과 준비 등 4대 영역을 중심으로 프로그램 개발을 위해 중요한 요소를 묻는 질문으로 구성하였으며, 복수 응답도 가능하도록 하였다. 결과 학생과 교원이 인식하는 영역별로 가장 중요하다고 생각하는 활동(요소)를 살펴보면, 학생의 경우에는 자기 이해 활동 영역에서 ‘성격에 맞는 직업 찾기(51%)’, 사회적 역량 개발 영역에서 ‘친구와 사이좋게 지내기(52%)’, 일과 직업의 세계 이해 활동 영역에서 ‘직업세계의 변화와 다양성 이해(52%)’, 진로 탐색 활동 영역에서 ‘직업 체험관 방문(70%)’, 진로디자인 및 준비 활동 영역에서 ‘진로 목표 정하기(78%)’에 가장 많은 응답을 보였고, 교원의 경우에는 자기 이해 활동 영역에서 ‘자기 특성 이해(91%)’, 사회적 역량 개발 영역에서 ‘의사소통(66%)’, 일과 직업의 세계 이해 활동에서 ‘직업세계의 변화와 다양성 이해(56%)’, 진로 탐색 활동 영역에서 ‘직업 정보 탐색(88%)’, 진로디자인과 준비 활동 영역에서 ‘진로 설계(56%)’에 가장 많은 응답을 보였다. 결론 이러한 요구조사 결과 추출된 영역별 주요 활동(요소)는 향후 전환기 초등학생을 위한 진로교육프로그램을 개발하는데 기초 자료가 될 것이라 생각한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to identify activities and elements needed to develop career education program for the students who are in transitional stage from elementary to middle school. Methods The subjects of this study were 32 teachers and 82 students who were in the sixth grade in an elementary school. This study is based on the survey carried out from November 1st to November 10th in 2020. The survey consisted of questions asking about important elements for program development, focusing on the 2015 Revised National Curriculum’s four areas: self-understanding, social competency development, understanding of work and job world, career exploration, career design and preparation, and multiple responses were also available. Results According to this study, students chose “Finding a job that suits one’s personality”(51%) in self-understanding areas; “Getting along well with friends”(52%) in social competency development areas; “Understanding changes and diversity in the job world”(52%) in understanding of work and job world areas; “Visiting Job Experience Center”(70%) in career exploration areas; “Setting career goals”(78%) in career design and preparation areas; are the most important activities(factors) in each area. Teachers, however, chose “Understanding of one’s own character”(91%) in self-understanding areas; “Communication”(66%) in social competency development areas; “Understanding changes and diversity in the job world”(56%) in understanding of work and job world areas; “Exploring occupation information”(88%) in career exploration areas; “Designing career”(56%) in career design and preparation areas; are the most important activities(factors) in each area. Conclusions The results of this study will be an important foundation for developing career education programs for elementary school students during the transition period.
