학습자 특성과 교수역량, 멀티미디어 활용이 학습몰입과 스피치 교육 효과에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 대학생과 성인들의 스피치 교육과 관련된 다양한 변인들을 선정하고 이들 간의 관련성과 구조적 관계를 분석하였다. 관련성에 있어서 학습자의 특성과 교수자의 특성, 멀티미디어 활용으로 구분하여 학습몰입과 학습 성과에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았고 학습자 요인은 Keller가 제시한 ARCS학습동기를 바탕으로 주의집중(Attention), 관련성(Relevance), 자신감(Confidence), 만족감(Satisfaction)으로 구성하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 2020년 5월 21일부터 6월 6일까지 3주간 서울 수도권 지역과 대구 경북 지역 등의 스피치 교육에 참여한 경험이 있는 성인학습자 362명을 대상으로 스피치 교육의 다양한 속성이 학습몰입과 교육 효과에 어느 정도 영향을 미치는가를 검증하고자 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS 24.0과 AMOS 24.0을 활용한 구조방정식모형을 통해 분석하였으며 구조방정식 모형에서 외생변인으로서 학습자특성, 교수역량, 멀티미디어 활용, 내생변인으로서 학습몰입과 스피치 교육효과를 선정하였다. 결과 가설검증 결과, 학습자 특성이 학습몰입에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 가설이 부분 채택되었고 교수역량이 학습몰입에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 가설 역시 부분적으로 채택되었다. 이어 멀티미디어 활용과 관련된 가설의 경우, 하위 변수별로 부분적으로 채택되었음을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 학습몰입이 스피치 교육효과에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 가설은 채택 되었으며 학습몰입이 향상되면 스피치 교육효과가 높아질 것이라는 것이 확인되었다. 결론 본 연구는 스피치 교육효과를 높이는데 학습자의 특성, 멀티미디어의 활용이 교육의 효과를 높일 수 있다는 점을 실증적으로 다시 한 번 검증했다는 점에서 의미가 있으며, 포스트 코로나 시대에 스피치 교육 효과를 향상시키기 위해서 멀티미디어 활용이 매우 중요하다는 사실을 시사했다는 점에서 의미가 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to explore its relevance and structural relationship after selecting various variables related to speech education. This research classifies its relevance as learner characteristics, instructor characteristics and multimedia use and identifies its impact on learning flow and learning outcomes. Learner factors consist of Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction presented by Keller in ARCS model of motivation. Methods To this end, for three weeks from May 21st to June 6th, 2020, an online survey was conducted on 362 adult learners who have had an experience of receiving speech education in Seoul metropolitan area and Daegu Gyeongbuk area. Data was processed with a structural equation model using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0. In this model, as for the exogenous variable, learner characteristics, instructor characteristics and multimedia use were chosen, and as for the endogenous variable, learning flow and speech education effect were selected. Results The results of this study are as follows. First, hypothesis 1 that learner characteristics would affect learning flow was adopted. Second, hypothesis 2 that instructor characteristics would have influence on learning flow was partially adopted. Third, hypothesis 3 which is related to multimedia use was also partially adopted for each sub-variable. Lastly, hypothesis 4 that learning flow would affect speech education effect was adopted. Moreover, this analysis confirmed that learning effect will be increased if the learning flow is improved. Conclusions This study is meaningful in that it positively proved that learner characteristics and multimedia use could improve the education effect. It is also meaningful in that it revealed the fact that multimedia utilization is very crucial to increase the effect of speech education in the post-corona era.
