신체수치심과 데이트폭력 허용도와의 관계에서 자기침묵의 매개효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 성인 여성을 대상으로 신체수치심과 데이트폭력 허용도 사이에서 자기침묵의 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 20~30대 여성 405명의 자료를 수집하여 SPSS 21.0과 AMOS 21.0을 통해 구조적 관계를 분석하였다. 결과 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 신체수치심과 자기침묵은 서로 정적 관계를 나타냈으며, 각각 데이트폭력 허용도와도 정적상관을 보였다. 즉 신체수치심이 클수록 자기침묵 수준이 높아지며, 신체수치심과 자기침묵 수준이 높을수록 데이트폭력을 더 많이 허용한다고 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 신체수치심은 직접적으로 데이트폭력 허용도를 예측하기도 하였고, 신체수치심과 데이트폭력 허용도의 사이에서 자기침묵이 부분매개효과가 있음을 밝혔다. 결론 이상의 연구 결과를 통해 여성이 데이트폭력에 취약하게 만드는 사회문화적인 영향이 존재함을 확인하였으며, 건강한 데이트 관계 유지와 효과적인 갈등 대처를 위한 치료적, 교육적 개입이 필요함을 알렸다. 끝으로 본 연구에 대한 제한점과 후속연구에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study examined the mediating effect of self-silence between body shame and justification of dating violence. Methods From July 2 to August 14, 2020, 405 women in their 20s and 30s were collected and analyzed, and structural relationships were analyzed through SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. Results As a result of the analysis, body shame directly predicted the acceptance of date violence and indirectly influenced by self-silencing, confirming the partial mediating effect of self-silencing. Conclusions In summing up this study, it was confirmed that body shame does not cause problems only for one individual, but also affects interpersonal relationships through the internal process of the individual. Also, as a factor to increase the justification of dating violence, it was revealed that there is a socio-cultural influence that causes women to experience body shame. Therefore, this study is meaningful in that it confirmed that therapeutic and educational interventions are needed to maintain healthy dating relationships and to make their own voices effective in coping with conflicts.
