초등 교사의 시각에서 수학 교과 전문성 개발의 구성 요소 탐색

국문 초록

목적 수학 수업의 질적 향상은 교사의 의미 있는 전문성 개발에 기인하며, 이는 수학 교과 전문성 개발 프로그램의 양적 확대 그 이상을 요구한다. 본 연구는 수학 수업의 질적인 변화를 위한 수학 교과 전문성 개발의 구성 요소가 어떠해야 하는 지에 대하여 초등 교사의 시각을 중심으로 탐색하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 수학 교수 경험과 수학 교과 전문성 개발 경험이 풍부한 초등 교사를 연구 참여자로 선정하여 그들의 대화를 수집하고 분석하였다. 결과 연구 결과 수학 교과 전문성 개발을 구성하는 요소로 수학 교과 교육과정에 대한 지식, 수학 교과 평가에 대한 지식, 학생에 대한 지식, 수학 교과 교수법에 대한 지식, 수학 교수에 대한 신념, 수학에 대한 교사 정체성, 수학 교수에서 교사의 성향이 나타났다. 결론 본 연구는 수학 교과 전문성 개발을 현장에서 수학 교육을 실천하고 있는 교사의 시각에 기반 하여 구성함으로써 교사 전문성 개발의 지속성을 확보할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 궁극적인 수학 수업 개선에 기여할 수 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The improvement in the quality of mathematics instruction is due to the meaningful professional development of teachers, which requires more than the quantitative expansion of mathematics specialty development programs. The purpose of this study was to explore the elements of professional development in mathematics for qualitative change in mathematics instruction, focusing on the perspective of elementary school teachers. Methods To this end, elementary teachers with rich experience in teaching mathematics and professional development in mathematics were selected as research participants, and their conversations were collected and analyzed. Results As a result of the study, 7 elements that constitute the development of mathematics professional include knowledge of the mathematics curriculum, knowledge of mathematics evaluation, knowledge of students, knowledge of mathematics teaching and learning, belief in mathematics teaching, teacher identity in mathematics, and teacher disposition were revealed in mathematics teaching. Conclusions This study suggests that the continuity of professional development can be secured as well as ultimately contributing to the improvement of mathematics instruction by constructing mathematics specialty development based on the perspective of teachers practicing mathematics education in the field.
