온라인 영어 낭독이 초등 영어 읽기 정확성과 유창성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 온라인 영어 낭독이 초등 영어 읽기 정확성과 초등 영어 읽기 유창성에 미치는 효과를 분석하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 온라인 낭독 프로그램 관리 시스템에서 제공하는 개인별 학습 정보를 확인하였다. 이후 개인별 자료들을 토대로영어 읽기 정확성과 영어 읽기 유창성 점수를 산출하고 사전, 중간, 사후 점수를 일변량 반복측정 분산분석하였으며 그에 따른 사후검정을 실시하였다. 결과 온라인 영어 낭독 활동을 한 학생들에게서 영어 읽기 정확성과 영어 읽기 유창성이 향상되었음을 확인하였다. 특히 영어 읽기정확성과 영어 읽기 유창성의 사전과 중간, 중간과 사후 점수 사이에는 유의한 차이가 없었으나 사전과 사후 점수 간에는 유의한차이가 있었다. 결론 온라인 영어 낭독 활동은 연구 대상 학생들의 영어 읽기 정확성과 영어 읽기 유창성 향상에 유의한 효과가 있었다. 또한 온라인영어 낭독 활동 시 학습 횟수와 기간이 늘어날수록 영어 읽기 정확성과 영어 읽기 유창성 향상에도 효과가 크게 나타날 것으로 해석된다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of online English reading aloud activities on elementary English reading accuracy and English reading fluency. Methods In this study, first, individual learning information provided by the online reading aloud program management system were analyzed. Then, based on individual data, English reading accuracy and English reading fluency scores were calculated, repeated measures ANOVA was performed on the pre, intermediate, and post scores and post-hoc tests were conducted accordingly. Results It was confirmed that English reading accuracy and English reading fluency were improved in students who conducted online English reading aloud activities. In particular, there was a significant difference between the pre-scores and post-scores. Conclusions There was a significant effect on improving English reading accuracy and English reading fluency by the study subjects through online English reading aloud activities. In addition, it can be expected that the longer the period and number of online English reading aloud activities, the greater the effect on English reading accuracy and English reading fluency.
