노인의 사회활동 참여가 우울감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구목적은 노인의 사회활동 참여가 우울에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 사회활동 참여와 우울의 관계에서 가족 유형과 연령집단의 차이를 규명하는 데 있다. 방법 연구대상은 노인실태조사(2020년)에 참여한 노인 9,920명을 대상으로 하였으며, 분석방법은 수집된 자료를 SPSS 22.0 을이용하여 다중회귀분석, Chow test로 분석하였다. 결과 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인의 사회활동 참여에서 경제활동과 여가활동은 우울에 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 노인의 사회활동과 우울의 관계에서 연령집단의 차이는 유의하게 나타났다. 사회활동 참여에서 경제활동과 여가활동 모두전기노인보다 후기노인이 더 많은 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 노인의 사회활동 참여와 우울의 관계에서 가족 형태의 차이는 유의하게 나타났다. 사회활동 참여에서 경제활동은 독거노인이 비독거노인보다 더 많은 유의한 부적인 차이가 나타났으며, 여가활동은 비독거노인보다 독거노인이 더 많은 유의한 부적인 차이가 나타났다. 결론 이상과 같은 연구결과에 기반하여 노인의 우울을 예방을 위한 노인의 사회활동 참여의 활성화 방안으로 가족 형태와 연령집단에 따른 실천방안 마련이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the elderly's participation in social activities on depression and to identify the difference between family types and age groups in the relationship between participation in social activities and depression. Methods The subjects of the study were 9,920 elderly people who participated in the survey on the status of the elderly (2020). The analysis method analyzed the collected data through multiple regression analysis and Chow test using SPSS 22.0. Results The results of the study are as follows. First, economic and leisure cultural activities were found to have a negative effect on depression in the elderly's participation in social activities. Second, the difference in age groups was significant in the relationship between social activities and depression of the elderly. In participation in social activities, it was found that the late elderly had more negative effects on both economic activities and leisure and cultural activities than the early elderly. Third, the difference in family types was significant in the relationship between the elderly's participation in social activities and depression. In participation in social activities, there were more significant negative differences in economic activities for the elderly living alone than for the elderly living alone, and there were more significant negative differences in leisure and cultural activities for the elderly living alone than for the elderly living alone. Conclusions Based on the above research results, practical measures according to family type and age group were proposed as a way to revitalize the elderly's participation in social activities to prevent depression in the elderly.
