대학생이 지각한 교수⋅학습지원 환경과 핵심역량의 관계에서 자율동기와 자기효능감의 매개효과

국문 초록

목적 이 연구에서는 대학생의 핵심역량 중 문제해결역량과 자기주도 학습역량에 영향을 미치는 요인들의 구조적 관계를 검증하고자 하였다. 특히, 대학생의 핵심역량을 향상시키는 데 필요한 교수⋅학습지원 환경의 구성요인들을 교수⋅학생 상호작용, 효과적 교수활동, 교우관계, 교직원⋅학생관계, 지원적 대학환경으로 구분하여, 대학생이 지각한 교수⋅학습지원 환경의 각 요인이 핵심역량에 영향을 미치는지 검증하고, 교수⋅학습지원 환경과 대학생 핵심역량의 관계에서 자율동기와 자기효능감의 매개효과를 밝히고자 하였다. 방법 연구대상은 G광역시에 소재한 C대학교 재학생 508명이며, 자료는 온라인 설문을 통해 수집하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS와 AMOS 프로그램을 사용하여, 기술통계 및 상관계수를 산출하고 구조방정식모형 분석을 실시하였다. 또한 부트스트래핑을 통해 매개효과를 검증하였다. 결과 교수⋅학습지원 환경의 5요인인 교수⋅학생 상호작용, 효과적 교수활동, 교우관계, 교직원⋅학생관계, 지원적 대학환경은 대학생의 핵심역량에 직접 영향을 주지는 않지만, 자율동기와 자기효능감이 일부 교수⋅학습지원 환경과 핵심역량의 관계를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 자율동기의 매개효과는 교수⋅학생 상호작용, 교직원⋅학생관계, 지원적 대학환경이 핵심역량에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 유의하였고, 자기효능감의 매개효과는 교우관계가 핵심역량에 영향을 미치는 경로에서만 유의하였다. 자율동기와 자기효능감의 순차적 매개효과는 교수⋅학생 상호작용, 교직원⋅학생관계, 지원적 대학환경이 핵심역량에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 유의하였다. 결론 문제해결역량과 자기주도 학습역량으로 정의된 대학생 핵심역량을 증진시키기 위해 대학에서 교수⋅학생 상호작용, 교직원⋅학생관계, 지원적 대학환경, 교우관계를 포함한 교수⋅학습지원 환경의 개선과 대학생들의 자율동기와 자기효능감 증진을 병행할 필요가 있음을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to test the structural relations among the factors that influence college students’ core competencies such as problem-solving competency and self-directed learning competency. Specifically, supportive teaching-learning environment was composed of faculty-student interaction, effective instructional practices, peer relations, staff-student relations, and on-campus support services. This study was conducted to test mediating effects of college students’ autonomous motivation and self-efficacy in the relations between each of the perceived supportive teaching-learning environment factors and core competencies. Methods Five-hundred eight students who were attending C University in G City participated in this study. Data analyses were conducted through the structural equation modeling and bootstrapping procedure using SPSS 25.0 and Amos 25. Results The direct effects of the perceived supportive teaching-learning environment on core competencies were not significant. However, some of the perceived supportive teaching-learning environment factors influenced college students’ core competencies through the mediation of autonomous motivation or self-efficacy or both. The mediating effects of autonomous motivation were found to be significant in the relations of faculty-student interaction, staff-student relations, and on-campus support services to core competencies. The mediating effect of self-efficacy was found to be significant only in the relation of peer relations to core competencies. Also, the serial mediating effects of autonomous motivation and self-efficacy were significant in the relations of faculty- student interaction, staff-student relations, and on-campus support services to core competencies. Conclusions The results of this study have significance in that the perceived supportive teaching-learning environment may not directly influence college students’ core competencies but may indirectly influence core competencies through the mediation of autonomous motivation and self-efficacy. Efforts have to be made not only to improve supportive teaching-learning environment but also to enhance college students’ autonomous motivation and self-efficacy.ect
