비교과 프로그램으로서의 글쓰기 특강 운영 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 비교과 프로그램인 글쓰기 특강 운영 사례 및 사후 요구조사 결과를 분석함으로써 향후 과제 및 개선 방안을 마련하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이에 서원대학교 TRE센터에서 비교과 프로그램인 글쓰기 특강을 운영한후, 프로그램 참가자 79명을 대상으로 글쓰기 전반에 대한 인식 및 프로그램에 대한 사후 만족도를 조사하였다. 그 결과, 대부분의 학생들이 아이디어 수집 단계부터 인터넷 검색을 활용하고 있었고, 글쓰기 계획 단계인 개요쓰기 과정을 생략하거나 잘 작성하지 않는 것을 확인하였다. 보고서 작성과 관련하여 학생들이 가장 부담을 느끼는 것은 보고서 초고 작성 및 자료 수집 과정이고, 가장 자주 쓰는 글쓰기 유형으로는 자기표현 글쓰기를, 가장어려운 글쓰기 유형으로는 논증형 글쓰기를 꼽았다. 또 가장 배우고 싶은 글쓰기 유형은 자기표현 글쓰기와 논증형 글쓰기라고 응답했다. 이번 글쓰기 특강 만족도는 평균 3.5점 이상으로 대체로 높은 만족도를 보였으며, 향후프로그램 운영과 관련하여 글쓰기에 대한 자신감, 효율성, 흥미 등과 같은 정의적인 요구와 함께 학업 및 취업 준비에 필요한 실제적인 글쓰기 학습에 대한 요구가 명확하게 드러났다. 글쓰기 특강에서 도출된 학생들의 글쓰기에 대한 인식과 요구는 향후 교과는 물론 비교과 프로그램을 설계운영하는 데 큰 시사점을 제공할 것이다. 아울러 2021년 2학기에 운영하는 글쓰기 특강 운영의 성과를 통합하여비교과 프로그램으로서의 글쓰기 특강의 성과와 전망에 대하여 보다 면밀하게 논의하고 시사점을 제안할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to prepare future tasks and improvement plans by analyzing thecases of operation of special writing lectures, which are non-examination programs, and the resultsof follow-up surveys. Seowon University TRE Center operated a special lecture on writing, a noncurricular program. After that, the perception of overall writing and post-satisfaction with theprogram were investigated for 79 program participants. As a result, it was confirmed that most of the students used the Internet search from the ideagathering stage, and did not omit or write well the outline writing process, which is the writingplanning stage. The most difficult part for the students to write a report was the process ofdrafting the report and collecting data. And the writing type that students use most often is selfexpression writing, and the writing type that students find the most difficult is argumentativewriting. The types of writing that students most wanted to learn were self-expression writingand argumentative writing. Satisfaction with this special lecture on writing was generally highwith an average score of 3.5 or higher. In addition, in relation to program operation, students’needs for practical writing learning necessary for academic and career preparation along withpositive needs such as confidence, efficiency, and interest in writing were clearly revealed. The students’ awareness and demand for writing confirmed in this special lecture on writing willbe of great help in designing and operating non-curricular programs as well as future subjects. In the future, the performance and prospects of the special writing lecture will be discussed moreclosely by integrating the performance of the special writing lecture, which is scheduled to beoperated in the second semester of 2021.
