국문 초록

이 연구는 포스트디아스포라의 관점에서 해외한인문학의 과도적 성격과 특질들을 박미하일의 소설세계를 중심으로 분석한 것이다. 고려인 5세대이자 고려인 작가 3세대에 속하는 박미하일은 한국에서는 재러 한인작가로, 러시아에서는 고려인 작가로 불리운다. 러시아와 한국을 오가며 왕성한 작품활동을 이어가고 있는 박미하일 소설의 특징은 문화적 혼종성과 경계인으로서의 자각이 뚜렷하다는 것, 그리고 자전적 경향의 예술가 소설로 계열화되는일관된 작품세계를 보여준다는 점이다. 그의 소설은 고려인문학의 전형과 변모를 보여주는 동시에 변화하는 해외한인문학의 과도적 성격의 한 사례로서 유용한 참조점을 제공해 준다. 한민족의 해외 이주와 정착이 1세기를 넘어서면서 세대적층으로 인한 세대간 민족정체감의 불일치가 크게 늘어가고 있다. 본고는 모국에 대한 집합적 기억의 공유와 고유한 민족문화의 정체성 유지를 근간으로 하는 해외한인문학 연구의 지평을 넓히고 새로운 한국어문학의 접경에 대한 다면적 해석을 시도한 것이다. 박미하일 소설에는중앙아시아와 러시아, 한국의 메트로폴리스가 주요 배경으로 채택되고 고려인 예술가로 등장하는 주인공은 일관되게 자신이 체류하는 공간의 시민되기를 욕망한다. 그의 소설은 국가와 민족, 유목민과 정착민, 공적인 것과 사적인것 사이에서 새로운 카테고리를 형성해내고 있다. 낡은 이분법과 큰 이념을 넘어서는 포스트디아스포라의 한 양상으로 박미하일 소설 전작을 분석하고 기초자료를 제공하는 데에 이 연구의 의의가 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study set out to analyze the transitional nature and characteristics of overseas Koreanliterature from the post-diaspora perspective with a focus on Park Mikhail’s world of novels. Being a fifth-generation Koryuin and third-generation Koryuin author, Park Mikhail is called aKorean-Russian author in South Korea and Koryuin author in Russia. The novels of Park Mikhail,who has continued active creative activities between Russia and South Korea, are characterizedby cultural hybridity and self-consciousness as a marginal man. The author has shown a consistentcreative world systemized by artistic novels with an autobiographical tendency. His novels showarchetypes and changes of Koryein literature and, at the same time, offer a useful referencepoint as a case of changing overseas Korean literature with transitional nature. As the history of Korean people’s overseas migration and settlement has been over a century,there is growing disagreement in ethnic identity between generations due to the accumulation ofgenerations. The present study made an attempt at broadening the research scope of overseasKorean literature based on the sharing of collective memories about the homeland and themaintenance of the identity of the unique ethnic culture and also interpreting a new border ofKorean literature in a multifaceted way. In Park’s novels mainly set in metropolises of CentralAsia, Russia, and South Korea, the main characters that are Koryuin artists consistently wish tobe citizens of the space where they stay. His novels are creating a new category between the stateand the people, between nomads and settlers, and between public and private. The present studyanalyzed Park Mikhail’s entire works as a pattern of post-diaspora beyond the old dichotomyand big concepts and provided basic data, thus holding its significance.
