국내 실용음악학과 커리큘럼의 고찰

국문 초록

현재 우리나라의 대학은 학령인구의 감소로 인하여 극심한 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 이로 인하여 기존 음악관련학과에서 실용음악관련 학과로의 변경이나 신설이 늘어나고 있는 실정이다. 그러나, 획일화된 대학교육과 실기위주의연주인 양성을 목적으로 하는 수업을 중심으로 편성된 커리큘럼으로는 빠르게 변화하는 시대적 흐름을 선도할 수없으며, 4차산업 혁명시대에 부합하는 융복합 형태의 새로운 수업설계로 시대적 요구에 부응해야 한다. 이에 본논문에서는 우리나라 대학의 실용음악 관련학과의 현황분석과 커리큘럼을 살펴보고, 학생들의 설문결과를 토대로이미 몇몇 대학에서 시행하고 있는 실습과 실무중심의 캡스톤 디자인 수업에 대한 논의와 함께 새로운 실용음악학커리큘럼에 대한 방향성을 고찰해보고자 한다. 이를 통해 수업의 질, 학생들의 만족도, 취업률 향상 방안을 제시하고, 내실 있는 대학교육에 조금이나마 도움이 되길 바란다.

영문 초록

Currently, universities in Korea are experiencing extreme difficulties due to the decrease in thenumber of school-age students, and the number of changes or new departments related topractical music is increasing. However, a curriculum centered on classes aimed at fosteringstandardized college education and practical performance cannot lead the rapidly changing trendof the times, and must meet the needs of the times with a new class design in the form ofconvergence in line with the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In this paper, I would liketo examine the current status analysis and curriculum of the departments related to practicalmusic in our country’s universities, discuss practical practice and practical capstone designclasses already implemented by several universities based on the results of the students’ survey,and examine the direction of the new practical music science curriculum. Through this, we hopethat it will help improve the quality of classes, students’ satisfaction, and employment rate, andprovide a little help for a substantial university education.
