국문 초록

본 연구는 양석일이 그의 문학 작품을 통해 일관되게 주장하고자 하는 메시지가 일본인이 아닌 이방인의 시각에서 일본 사회에 대한 ‘자기비판’ 및 전후에 완전히 청산되지 못한 ‘식민주의’에 대한 문제를 제기하고 있다는 사실을 다루고자 한다. 이에 저자는 일본의 자기비판과 식민주의를 다룬 양석일의 작품관을 그의 소설 밤을 걸고라는 작품을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 이 작품에는 해방 후 오사카 지역에서 살아가는 재일 한국인들의 삶의 모습이잘 나타나 있어, 그 시대 동포사회의 모습과 변화를 고찰할 수 있었으며, 이를 바탕으로 양석일 문학관의 특성을규명할 수 있었다. 저자는 근거이론의 절차와 기법을 활용하여 밤을 걸고 텍스트를 분석하고 문학적 시사점을도출하였다. 근거이론을 통해 도출한 연구결과로는 ‘전후에도 이어지는 일본 제국주의 도시인 오사카’, ‘식민주의의그림자 속에서 생존을 위해 몸부림치는 재일 한국인들’, ‘통일이 아닌 이념대립 공간으로 변모한 오사카’를 들 수있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to address the fact that Yang Seok-il’s message consistently asserts throughhis literary work raises the issue of ‘self-criticism’ of Japanese society and ‘colonialism’ that hasnot been completely cleared up after the war from a non-Japanese perspective. Accordingly, theresearcher looked at Yang Seok-il’s view of the works, which dealt with self-criticism andcolonialism of Japan, focusing on his novel Through the Night . In this novel, the lives of Koreansliving in Japan after liberation in Osaka are well represented, allowing the researcher to examineKorean community and its change at that time, and based on this, the researcher could identifythe characteristics of Yang Seok-il’s view on literature. The researcher analyzed the text ofThrough the Night by using the procedures and techniques of grounded theory and derivedliterary implications. Research findings derived from the ground theory include ‘Osaka, a city ofJapanese imperialism that continues after the war’, ‘Korean people in Japan struggling to survivein the shadow of colonialism’, and ‘Osaka, which has transformed into a space for ideologicalconflict instead of unification’.
