역서류(曆書類)의 시진(時辰) 적용에 관한 연구

국문 초록

역법에 근거하여 역서를 활용하는 학문인 명리학, 택일학, 이기풍수 등의 학문에서는 12시진(十二時辰)에서 ‘평균태양시’를 사용하고 있고 진태양시와 지방시는 사용하지 않고 있다. 만약 시진(時辰)의 오류로 인해 사주가 달라지면 학문의 고유한 원리적 적용이 달라져 원래와 상반된 결과가 발생할 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 시진의 오류를 시정하기 위해 현행의 12시진 배속 및 지방시(地方時) 불용의 문제점을 지적하고 ‘진태양시’와 ‘지방시’ 적용에 대한 학술적 기반을 확립하는 데에 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 먼저 천문학적 시법과 진태양시와 평균태양시를 개괄하였다. 이어서 진태양시와 평균태양시의 균시차(均時差) 발생원인을 분석하여 어떤 시법(時法)이 타당한지와 이어서 지방시에 대해 고찰하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현행 평균태양시는 한 시진 기준으로 최대 22분 내외의 오차가 있으므로 지구와 자전과 공전에 근거를 둔 ‘진태양시’로 시진을 정해서 사용하는 것이 옳다. 둘째, 지역마다 일출 일남중 일몰이 다르므로 지역별 경도 차를 반영한 ‘지방시’를 사용하는 것이 옳다. 이상의 결과를 종합해서 진태양시와 지방시로 12시진을 정한 뒤에 둔시법(遁時法)을 활용하면 시진 적용에 오류가 해소된다는 것을 강조하였다. 이 논문은 선행연구들이 시진의 올바른 적용법을 다루지 못한 미비점을 해소하였고 진태양시와 지방시를 종합적으로 적용한 시진이 타당함을 밝힌 점에서 연구의 의의가 있다. 향후 동양의 역법과 코페르니쿠스의 지동설과의 융합연구로서 지구의 자전과 공전에 따른 여러 단위의 시간을 정하는 연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

The studies of myeongrihak, taekilhak and igipungsu, which use the calendar books based onthe calendar, use the ‘average solar time’ at 12 sijin system but do not use the ‘true solar time’and ‘regional time’. If the sijin get different due to the error in sijin, the result may be differentfrom the original one due to the difference in the application of the study’s unique principle. The objective of this study is to find out the problem in the application of current 12 sijinsystem and no-use of regional time for the correction of the error in sijin and establish theacademic foundation for the application of true solar time and regional time. To achieve the research objectives, first the ‘astronomical time system’, ‘true solar time’ and‘average solar time’ were researched. Then, the cause of equation of time between true solartime and average solar time were analyzed to find out which time system is more reasonablebefore the regional time was researched. The research results are as follows. First, as the current average solar time has the error ofabout 22 minutes max at one sijin, it is right to fix the sijin at ‘true solar time’ based on theearth’s rotation and revolution. Second, the time of sunrise, culmination and sunset variesdepending on the region, it is right to use the regional time which reflects the regional longitude. In the conclusion, this study emphasizes that the error in the application of sijin can beremoved if the dunsijbeop is used after the 12-sijin system is fixed with true solar time andregional time. This paper has an implication in that it has solved the problems which the priorresearches have not properly handled and that the sijin which properly applies the true solartime and regional time is reasonable. In the future, there should be the further researches whichfix many units of time depending on the Earth’s rotation and revolution as a fusion study of theEast’s ganjiryeok and Copernicus’ heliocentric theory.
