텍스트마이닝을 활용한 플립러닝 최근 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 국내 플립러닝 관련 연구의 동향과 주제를 심층 분석하고, 주제 요소 간의 유기적 관계성을 파악하기 위하여, 대량의 텍스트 정보들을 효과적으로 분석할 수 있는 비정형 데이터 분석방법 중 하나인 텍스트마이닝을 실시하였다.방법 이를 위해 최근 3년간 수행된 355편의 플립러닝 연구들을 수집한 후, 각 논문의 제목, 기본서지정보, 초록의 내용을 텍스트마이닝 기반의 토픽모델링으로 분석하였다.결과 기초 현황 분석, 주제어 빈도 분석 및 토픽모델링을 실시한 결과, 최근 플립러닝 연구에서 다음과 같은 특징이 나타났다. 첫째, 플립러닝 관련 연구의 제목 분석 결과는 수업, 학습, 대학, 교육, 교수 등의 단어가 높은 빈도로 나타났다. 둘째, 플립러닝 관련 초록 분석 결과에서는 연구 주제로서 수업설계 전략, 수업 실행, 적용 사례, 효과성의 네 개 토픽이 도출되었다. 셋째, 토픽 모델링 결과는 네 개의 토픽 가운데 플립러닝 적용 사례에 관련된 연구들이 가장 높은 비중으로 나타났으며, 수업설계전략, 수업실행, 효과성, 적용 사례의 네 가지 하위 토픽별로 빈출 단어에 있어서 차이가 나타났다.결론 이에 본 연구에서는 플립러닝 연구의 공통점과 더불어, 각 하위 토픽별로 나타난 빈출 단어의 차이점에 초점을 맞추어 논의를 전개하였다. 본 연구는 최근 국내 플립러닝 연구 동향의 특징을 파악했을 뿐만 아니라, 분석기법에 있어서도 방대한 비정형 텍스트 정보를 분석하여 의미를 도출하는 텍스트마이닝 기법을 적용했다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다. 본 연구에서 도출된 연구 결과 및 텍스트마이닝의 토픽모델링 분석 기법은 향후 플립러닝 연구 방향 및 연구 주제 설정을 위한 기초 자료 및 비정형 연구 데이터의 분석기법으로서 널리 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives In this study, we conducted text mining, one of the unstructured data analysis methods that can effectively analyze large amounts of textual information, to analyze trends and topics of domestic flipped learning-related research and to identify organic relationships among topic elements. Methods We collect 355 flipped learning studies conducted over the last three years and analyze the title, basic bibliography data, and the contents of abstract in text mining-based topic modeling. Results The results of basic status analysis, topic word frequency analysis, and topic modeling have shown the following features in recent flipped learning studies. First, the title analysis results of the flipped learning-related studies showed that words such as classes, learning, universities, education, and professors were frequently used. Second, four topics of class design strategy, class execution, application cases, and effectiveness were derived from the results of the flipped learning-related abstract analysis as research topics. Third, the topic modeling results showed that among the four topics, the studies involved in the flipped learning application cases showed the highest proportion, and differences in the frequent words by four subtopics: class design strategy, class execution, effectiveness, and application case. Conclusions Thus, in this study, the discussion focuses on the commonalities of flipped learning research as well as the differences in frequent words presented for each subtopic. This study not only identifies the characteristics of recent domestic flipped learning research trends, but also applies text mining techniques that derive meaning by analyzing vast unstructured text information in analysis techniques. This study could be widely used as an analysis technique for basic and unstructured research data for future flipped learning research direction and research topic setting.
