작곡영재 어머니의 교육 참여 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 작곡영재 어머니의 작곡영재교육 참여 경험의 본질적 의미를 탐색하는 것이다.방법 연구방법으로는 Giorgi(1997)의 현상학적 방법을 사용하여 S시의 S음악영재아카데미 작곡부문 프로그램에 참여했던 작곡영재 어머니 3명을 대상으로 2021년 1월부터 2021년 2월까지 총 9회의 일대일 심층 면담을 실시하였다.결과 작곡영재 어머니의 작곡영재교육 참여 배경은 ‘자녀의 재능 발견으로 인한 양육의 고민과 자녀의 연주가 주는 기쁨’이었다. 참여 경험은 ‘자녀의 영재성 꽃피우는 교육의 장과의 만남’, ‘위로와 행복감 사이에서의 성장’이었다. 참여 경험의 본질적 의미는 ‘지지하는 부모로 거듭남’, ‘나답게 살기 위한 자아실현’이었다.결론 결론적으로 작곡영재 어머니의 작곡영재교육 참여 경험은 단순히 자녀의 특별한 재능을 지원하는 영재교육에 한정된 경험에 그치지 않고 자녀의 자녀다움에 대한 깊은 이해와 인정으로 나아가는 온전한 지지적 부모로서의 성장 경험인 동시에 부모 자신을 자아실현으로 이끄는 평생교육의 장인 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to explore the essential meaning of the experience of mothers whose children participated in the Gifted education program for the artistically gifted in composition. Methods The study used Giorgi(1997)’s phenomenological method. It targeted three mothers of the musically gifted who participated in the program of S academy for the musically gifted in S city. A total of nine in-depth interviews were held from January 2021 to February 2021. Results Their motivation to participate in the program had two backgrounds, one was “the agony of parenting that began with the discovery of their children’s talent” and the second was “the joy watching their children’s performance.” The participation experiences was both “discovery of a learning place in which the talent of their children can bloom” and “the growth within comfort and happiness.” The essential meaning of the participation experience was “new start as supportive parents” and “self realization for living their own lives.” Conclusions In conclusion, their experience has meaning not just as experience of a gifted education supporting their children s special talents, but also a growth experience as a fully supportive parent moving toward a deep understanding and recognition of their child s childhood. At the same time, they understood the experience as participating in a lifelong education field that leads parents to self-realization.
