대학생들의 의사소통능력 함양을 위한 온라인 실시간 하브루타 수업설계 전략과 적용

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 대학생들의 의사소통능력 개발을 위한 교수법으로서 온라인 실시간 하브루타 수업설계 전략을 도출하고, 해당 수업설계 전략을 적용한 수업운영이 참여자들의 의사소통능력 함양에 기여하는가를 확인하는 것을 목적으로 했다.방법 이를 위해 먼저 질문중심 하브루타 수업설계, 온라인 실시간/비실시간 토의 수업 설계 관련 관련 문헌분석 및 사례분석을 통해 온라인 실시간 하브루타 수업설계 전략을 도출하고 해당 전략을 반영하여 수업을 설계하였다. 그리고 해당 수업을 부산지역 일개 대학 교양수업에 참여하는 학생 24명을 대상으로 1학기 적용하여 양적⋅질적 효과를 확인했다.결과 온라인 실시간 하브루타 수업설계 전략을 바탕으로 설계한 수업 적용 적/후의 변화를 대응표본 t-검증을 통해 확인한 결과 학생들의 포괄적 의사소통능력이 유의미하게 향상되었다. 단일집단 연구의 제한점을 보완하기 위해 질적자료 분석을 병행한 결과 본 수업을 통해 대학생들은 잘 알지 못하는 타인과의 대화나 여러 사람 앞에서의 발표에 불안함을 덜 느끼는 사회적 긴장 완화, 상대의 말에 더 집중하고 적극적으로 대화에 임하는 집중력, 대화를 시작하고 지속하는 과정에서 자신의 의견을 주장하려는 주장력, 자신의 생각과 느낌을 올바르게 표현하려는 표현력, 다른 사람이 입장이나 감정에 대한 표현을 이해하고 받아들이려는 이원적 시각의 획득을 경험한 것으로 나타났다.결론 본 연구를 통해 9가지의 온라인 실시간 하브루타 수업설계 전략의 도출과 적용이 학생들의 의사소통 능력 함양에 긍정적으로 기여함을 경험적으로 확인함에 따라 모든 교과에 적용 가능한 의사소통능력 향상 교수법으로서 온라인 실시간 하브루타의 가능성을 제시하고 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purposes of this study were to to develop instructional design strategies of online synchronous Havruta as a teaching method to cultivate the communication competence of university students and to investigate these strategies are effective. Methods First, the online synchronous Habruta class design strategy was derived through the literature and case analysis related to the question-based Habruta class design and online synchronous/unsynchronous discussion class design. The class reflecting the strategies was applied to 24 students who participated in a liberal arts class at a university in Busan, and the quantitative and qualitative effects were studied. Results Based on previous studies, the following nine strategies were derived: formation of social presence and rapport, discussion with students own questions provision of opportunities to create and choose good questions, use of the various type of question at each instructional stage, strengthen coaching to experience principles of Havruta, parallel application of text-based and oral-based discussion provision of the time to organize own thoughts before the discussion self-monitoring of discussion progress using digital learning aids, and meta-cognition development through summary and submission of discussion results. Conclusions As a result of designing and applying the class based on this strategy, it was confirmed that the interpersonal communication competence of participants improved through the t-test. In particular the students experienced social relaxation, concentration, assertiveness, expressiveness, and dual perspective during online synchronous Havruta.
