초등 예비교사의 수영교육에 대한 경험과 인식

국문 초록

목적 이 연구의 목적은 초등 예비교사의 수영교육에 대한 경험과 인식을 확인하여 전문성 향상을 위한 시사점을 찾는 것이다.방법 이를 위해 C도 C시에 소재한 교사양성기관의 초등 예비교사를 대상으로 설문 조사를 진행하여 261부의 자료를 수집하였고 남녀, 학년, 거주지별로 빈도분석과 교차분석을 실시하였으며 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다.결과 예비교사의 수상활동 경험은 대부분 물놀이 체험 중심으로 이루어졌다. 수영교육 경험자들의 경우 기간이 충분하지 않았고, 시기는 초등학교 때 집중되었으며 그 내용은 영법 숙달 중심이었다. 수영교육과 관련한 인식에서 대부분의 예비교사들이 수영교육을 담당할 역량을 갖추지 못했다고 생각했고, 직전교사교육기관에서의 수영교육 필요성을 강조했으나 예비교사들이 필수로 수강을 해야 한다는 응답은 높지 않았다. 수영교육 역량 함양을 위한 교육내용으로는 ‘생존수영법’이 가장 많았고, 초등학생 수영실기교육을 담당할 주체는 ‘수영지도 가능교사’와 ‘수영장 지도자’라는 응답 순이었다.결론 이러한 연구 결과에서의 시사점을 토대로 초등교사양성기관의 수영교육 개선방향을 수영시설의 확보, 교육과정 확대⋅개편, 생존수영 중심의 수영교육 프로그램 개발로 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to find implications for improving professionalism by confirming the experiences and perceptions of elementary school pre-service elementary teachers about swimming education. Methods To this end, data were collected and analyzed through a survey for 261 pre-service teachers at a elementary school teacher fostering institution located in C city in C province, and frequency analysis and chi-squared test were conducted by gender, greade, and residence. the main research results are as follows. Results Most of the pre-service teachers experience in water activities centered around the water experience. For those who had experience in swimming education, the period of time was not sufficient, and the opportunities were concentrated in elementary school, and the contents were centered on proficiency in swimming stroke. Most of the pre-service teachers thought they were not capable of swimming education, and they stressed the need for swimming education at the pre-teacher s educational institution, but the response was not high that prospective teachers should take it as required. ‘Survival Swimming Method’ was the most common content for training to improve swimming education competency, and the subjects who will be in charge of swimming practice training for elementary school students were ‘swimming instructors’ and ‘swimming pool guide’ in order. Conclusions Based on the implications of these findings, the direction of improving swimming education by elementary school teacher fostering institutions was proposed by securing swimming facilities, expanding and reorganizing the curriculum, and developing swimming education programs focusing on survival swimming.
