다문화 가정 결혼이민자의 한국어문화교육 현황과 문화간 감수성 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국에 거주하는 결혼이민자의 문화간 감수성의 정도를 측정하고, 한국어문화교육의 정도와 문화간 감수성의 관계를 알아보는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 연구를 위한 조사는 2018년 5월 14일부터 5월 28일까지 온라인 설문 양식을 통해 진행되었으며, 총 53명의 결혼이민자의 문화간 감수성 연구 자료를 수집하였다. 연구에 사용된 설문 문항은 Chen & Starosta(2000)에 의해 개발된 문화간 감수성 척도를 사용하여, 이를 SPSSWIN 24 통계 프로그램으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 한국에 거주하는 결혼이민자의 문화간 감수성은 5.0점 만점에서 평균 3.61로 높은 문화간 감수성을 가지고 있다는 것을 밝힐 수 있었다. 또한 외국어와 타문화의 학습 기간이 늘어남에 따라 문화간 감수성이 향상된다는 기존의 연구 결과와 달리 본 연구에서는 한국어문화교육 정도에 따른 문화간 감수성과의 정적인 상관관계는 찾아볼 수 없었다. 그러나 연구 결과 분석을 통해 한국으로의 이주 후 한국어문화교육을 받은 기간 2년 기점으로 오히려 문화간 감수성의 정도가 낮아지며, 타문화에 대한 폐쇄적인 경향이 나타난다는 사실을 찾아낼 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구는 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 이후 결혼이민자들의 문화간 감수성과 문화적응 주기를 고려한 다양한 교육 방안 설계가 이루어져야 할 필요성이 요구됨을 제안한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to measure the degree of intercultural sensitivity of marriage immigrants residing in Korea, and to find out the relationship between the degree of Korean language and culture education and the intercultural sensitivity. The survey for the study was conducted through an online survey form from 14 May 2018 to 28 May 2018, and a total of 53 marriage immigrants collected intercultural sensitivity studies. Using the intercultural sensitivity scale developed by Chen & Starosta (2000), a total of 53 marriage immigrants intercultural sensitivity research data were collected and analyzed with the SPSSWIN 24 statistical program. As a result, it could be revealed that marriage immigrants residing in Korea have a high intercultural sensibility with an average of 3.61 out of 5 points. Also, unlike the results of previous studies that show that the intercultural sensibility between cultures improves as the learning period of foreign languages and other cultures increases, this study did not find a positive correlation between intercultural sensibility according to the level of Korean culture education, but through the analysis of the results of the study, it was found that the level of sensitivity between cultures decreased and a tendency toward closure toward other cultures appeared from the two years of Korean language culture education after relocation to Korea. Therefore, this study proposes that the necessity of designing various educational plans in consideration of intercultural sensitivity and cultural adaptation cycle of marriage immigrants is required based on the results of this study.
