국문 초록

이 연구는 미국 체육과 교육과정의 기본움직임기술(FMS) 관련 성취기준을 분석하고, 우리나라 2015 개정 초등학교 체육과 교육과정에 시사점을 탐색함으로써 차기 체육과 교육과정 개발에 기초자료를 제공하는 데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 미국 체육과 교육과정(K-G5) 기준 1(standard 1)에 해당하는 성취기준(outcomes)을 대상으로 범위(scope)와 계열성(sequence) 측면에서 내용 분석(content analysis)을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. FMS 지식의 구조는 범위 측면에서 이동성 기술, 안정성 기술, 조작성 기술로 구분되며, 계열성 측면에서 1단계(기초), 2단계(기본), 3단계(응용)로 이루어진다. 1단계에서는 각 기술별로 반드시 익혀야 할 기초적인 기술이 소개되며, 2단계에서는 기초 기술을 바탕으로 각 기술의 대표 기술이 제시된다. 3단계에서는 각 기술 내 또는 기술 간의 결합이 이루어진다. 이를 바탕으로 2015 개정 초등학교 체육과 교육과정에 주는 시사점을 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 역량 중심 교육과정 구현을 위해 FMS의 체계적인 교육이 도입될 필요가 있다. 둘째, 유치원에서 초등학교 저학년, 중⋅고학년으로 연계성을 지닌 FMS 교육이 필요하다. 셋째, 초등학교 1~2학년 체육 교과 신설을 통해 놀이 중심 FMS 교육이 이루어질 필요가 있다. 넷째, 초등학교 현직교사 및 예비교사를 대상으로 FMS 관련 연수 및 수업이 개설될 필요가 있다. 이 연구를 통해 차기 체육과 교육과정 개발에 FMS의 중요성을 재조명하고, 역량 중심 체육과 교육과정의 지식의 구조 형성에 기초 자료를 제공할 수 있기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the development of the next elementary school physical education curriculum by analyzing the contents related to the Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) of the US physical education curriculum and exploring implications for the 2015 revised physical education curriculum in Korea. For this study, the content of National Standard 1 of the US physical education curriculum (K-G5) was analyzed in terms of scope and sequence using content analysis. The results of the study are as follows. The structure of FMS knowledge is divided into Locomotor skills, Nonlocomotor(Stability) skills, and Manipulative skills in terms of scope, and consists of a stage1, a stage2, and an stage3 in terms of sequence. In the stage1, the essential skills that must be learned for each skill are introduced, and in the stage2, the representative skills of each skill are presented based on the essential skills of the stage2. In the stage3, a combination within each skill or between skills is presented. Based on this, the implications for the 2015 revised elementary school physical education curriculum are summarized as follows. First, it is necessary to introduce systematic education of FMS in order to implement competency-based curriculum. Second, there is a need for FMS education that has a connection from kindergarten to elementary school lower grades, middle grades and upper grades. Third, there is a need for play-oriented FMS education through the establishment of physical education curriculum for the first and second graders of elementary school. Fourth, there is a need to provide FMS-related training and classes for incumbent elementary school teachers and pre-service elementary school teachers.
