국문 초록

본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니와 아버지의 정서적 자녀가치와 양육행동 간의 자기-상대방효과를 검증하고, 부모의 정서적 자녀가치가 양육행동을 매개로 자녀의 학교적응과 학업수행능력에 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 한다. 그 결과 첫째, 어머니와 아버지의 정서적 자녀가치는 온정적 양육행동에 미치는 유의한 자기효과가 나타났으며, 어머니의 정서적 자녀가치는 통제적 양육행동에도 유의한 자기효과를 나타냈다. 둘째, 어머니의 정서적 자녀가치는 아버지의 온정적 양육행동에 유의한 상대방효과를 나타냈다. 셋째, 어머니의 정서적 자녀가치는 어머니의 통제적 양육행동과 아버지의 온정적 양육행동을 매개로 아동의 학업수행능력에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 아버지의 정서적 자녀가치는 아버지의 온정적 양육행동을 매개로 아동의 학교 적응에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구는 유아교육기관에서 초등학교로 이어지는 전이과정에서 부모의 정서적 자녀가치와 양육행동, 그리고 아동의 학교적응, 학업수행능력 간의 관계를 살펴보고, 정서적 자녀가치 증진을 위한 부모교육의 중요성과 이를 위한 기초정보를 제공했다는 점에서 연구의 의의를 갖는다.

영문 초록

This study examined the relationship between mothers and fathers in their emotional value of children and parenting behavior and their effects on school adaptation and academic competence. The results of the study are as follows. First, both mothers and fathers emotional value of children had a significant positive actor effect on their own warm parenting behavior. mother s emotional value of children had a significant positive actor effect on their own controlled parenting behavior. Second, only mother s emotional value of children showed a significant positive partner effect on fathers warm parenting behavior. Third, mother s emotional value of children appeared the influence in the children s academic competence through mothers controlled parenting behavior, fathers warm parenting behavior as the mediated variable. father’s emotional value of children appeared the influence in the children s school adaptation through fathers warm parenting behavior as the mediated variable. The implications of these findings provide specific, basic information for parent education and necessary for acknowledging their values of children and proper parenting its the importance in the children s school adaptation and academic competence.
