초등교사의 학생자치법정 운영에 대한 사례 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 두 가지로 첫째, A교사의 학생자치법정 운영사례를 통해 교사의 관점으로 초등 사회과교육에서 학생자치법정이 갖는 교육적 의미와 시사점을 분석하고 둘째, 학생자치법정 운영과정에 나타난 A교사의 인식과 관점 그리고 실천의 변화를 분석하여 교사발달의 복합적 양상을 탐구하는 것이다. 이를 위해 A교사가 3년 동안 학생자치법정을 운영하며 발생한 경험을 질적 인물사례연구방법으로 분석하였으며 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등 사회과교육에서 나타날 수 있는 학생자치법정의 쟁점과 문제점들을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 이를 극복하기 위한 해결방안으로 학생자치법정을 문제해결의 장으로 운영하고 사회과 교육과정과 연계한 구체적 사례를 통해 초등교육현장의 특성을 반영한 학생자치법정 운영의 실제를 살펴볼 수 있었다. 둘째, A교사가 학생자치법정을 운영하며 초등교사로서 전문성 신장하고 교육이론의 적용자에서 개발자로 변화하며 이 과정에서 얻은 교육적 경험을 공유하기 위해 교사공동체로 나아가는 교사발달의 상세한 양상을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is as follows. First, analyze the educational meaning and implications of the student autonomy court in elementary education from the perspective of the teacher through the adminstration case of the student autonomy court of teacher A. It is to explore complex aspects of teacher development by analyzing changes in perspective and practice. To this end, the experiences that occurred while teacher A operated the student autonomy court for three years were analyzed by a qualitative person case study method, and the results of the study are as follows. First, from the perspective of the teacher, the actual issues and problems of the student autonomy court adminstration in elementary education were confirmed. In addition, as a solution to overcome this problem, the student autonomy court was adminstrated as a place of problem solving, and through concrete cases linked to the social studies education curriculum, the reality of the student autonomy court reflecting the characteristics of the elementary education field could be examined. Second, it was possible to confirm the detailed aspects of teacher development moving toward a teacher community in order for Teacher A to run a student autonomy court, increase his professionalism as an elementary school teacher, change from an applicator of educational theory to a developer, and share the educational experience gained in this process.
