국문 초록

이 연구는 COVID-19 상황에서 경험한 예비음악교사의 교육실습의 실제와 그 의미를 심도 있게 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 2020년도 1학기에 교육실습을 경험한 중등예비음악교사 4인을 연구 참여자로 선정하였다. 자료 수집은 2020년 8월부터 10월까지 3개월에 걸쳐 이루어졌으며, 온라인 화상회의 프로그램인 Zoom과 Microsoft Teams를 활용하여 각 2회의 개별 심층인터뷰를 진행하였다. 인터뷰 분석 결과, 예비음악교사들은 교육실습을 나가기 전, COVID-19로 인해 교육실습 수행의 가능성과 온라인 수업준비에 대한 불안감을 가지고 있었던 것으로 드러났다. COVID-19 하에서 교육실습 기간 동안에, 예비음악교사들은 온라인 수업으로 인한 정상적인 수업 참관의 불가, 학생과의 제한된 만남으로 인한 수업시연 기회의 부족, 음악수업을 구성하는 데 있어 활동 및 영역의 제한, 비상상황 속 교육실습생에 대한 실습학교 및 지도교사의 관심 부족, 학급경영 및 학생상담 등 실무경험 기회의 부족과 같은 어려움을 경험한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 어려움에도 불구하고, 교육실습은 연구 참여자들에게 의미 있는 경험으로 다가왔다. 교육실습을 통해 학교 현장 분위기 및 교사의 역할에 대해 이해하게 되었고, 현장 경험을 통해 향후 진로로써 교직에 대한 적성을 확인하고 이를 확고히 하게 되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 온라인 수업 환경에 적합한 교육실습체제의 변화와 재구성의 필요성을 제안하였다. 이 연구는 포스트 코로나 시대의 학교 현장 교육실습체제 구축을 위한 논의의 근거자료가 될 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore in depth the teaching practicum of pre-service music teachers experienced in the COVID-19 situation. To this end, four middle school pre-service music teachers who experienced teaching practicum in the first semester of 2020 were selected as participants in this study. Using online video conferencing programs, Zoom and Microsoft Teams, two in-depth interviews were conducted for each participant from August to October 2020. The analysis of the interviews revealed that the pre-service music teachers were concerned about whether or not the teaching practicum was possible due to COVID-19, and preparing online class, prior to the teaching practicum. during the teaching practicum under COVID-19 situation, it is revealed that the pre-service music teachers experienced difficulties; unable to observe normal music classes, lack of opportunities to demonstrate classes due to limited meetings with students, limited activities in their music classes, lack of interest in the pre-service music teachers of the schools and supervisors in emergency situations, and lack of practical experience such as classroom management and student counseling. Despite these difficulties, the teaching practicum was a meaningful experience for the pre-service music teachers. Specifically, the pre-service music teachers understood the atmosphere of schools and the role of teachers through the teaching practicum, and confirmed their aptitude for the teaching profession as a future career through field experience. Based on these findings, this study proposes the need for changes and reconstruction of the teaching practicum systems to be suitable for online class environments. This study will be one of the basis materials for discussions on establishing the teaching practicum system at the schools in the post-corona era.
