대학생을 위한 젠더감수성 교육 프로그램 효과 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생을 위한 젠더감수성 교육 프로그램을 개발하여 그 효과를 검증하는 것이다. 또한 본 연구는 성별에 따른 젠더감수성 차이와 프로그램의 효과 차이 검증을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 4년제 대학 1개교의 ‘성심리와 성교육’ 수강생들 중 연구 참여에 동의한 학생 61명을 대상으로 사전과 사후검사를 진행하여 젠더감수성 교육 프로그램의 효과성을 분석하였다. 본 연구에서의 젠더감수성 교육 프로그램은 12회기(회기당 100분)로 구성되며, 젠더감수성의 개념과 최근 경향성을 충분히 반영하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 적대적 성차별, 온정적 성차별, 성소수자에 대한 차별에서 남자 대학생의 젠더감수성 수준이 여자 대학생에 비해 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 본 연구에서 개발된 젠더감수성 교육 프로그램은 대체적으로 대학생의 젠더감수성 향상에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 하위 요인별로는 전체 집단과 남학생 집단에서 적대적 성차별을 제외한 모든 하위요인의 점수가 프로그램 참여 후 향상되었다. 여학생 집단에서는 여성혐오와 온정적 성차별의 점수가 프로그램 참여 후 향상되었다. 마지막으로, 성차에 따른 프로그램의 효과차이는 나타나지 않았다. 이상의 연구 결과를 토대로 성교육과 젠더감수성 교육에 대한 교육적 의의와 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of gender sensitivity program and to verify the gender difference in gender sensitivity and the effect of gender sensitivity program. 61 college students who agree to join this study among attendance at ‘psychosexuality and sex education’ responded pre and post surveys of gender sensitivity. The gender sensitivity program consists of 10 sessions (100 minutes per session) and involves the concept of gender sensitivity and recent trend of sexual discrimination and sexual violence. The result of this study showed that there were gender differences in hostile sexism, benevolent sexism, and discrimination against sexual minority. Second, gender sensitivity of college students who participated in gender sensitivity program was advanced more than before. After gender sensitivity program, except for hostile sexism, all sub-factors of gender sensitivity were improved in male group and total group. After gender sensitivity program, misogyny and benevolent sexism growed up in female group. The effect of gender sensitivity program was not different between male and female students. Implications of the results are discussed.
