대졸자의 첫 일자리 획득 및 영향요인 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 대졸자들의 첫 일자리 획득까지의 기간과 획득여부에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되는 개인요인, 프로그램 참여 여부, 취업 준비활동 경험 여부 등을 파악함으로 프로그램을 보완하는데 도움을 주는 것에 목적이 있다. 이를 수행하기 위하여 한국고용정보원의 대졸자직업이동경로조사(GOMS)의 2017GOMS데이터를 사용하였으며, 콕스비례위험모형(Cox proportional hazard model) 분석과 경향점수 매칭(propensity score matching) 및 로지스틱회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 첫 일자리 획득 시점까지의 기간을 살펴 본 결과, 첫 일자리 획득 시점까지의 기간은 평균 3.7개월이었으며, 생존율에서는 졸업 후부터 5개월 사이에 첫 일자를 획득하는 대졸자가 가장 많았고 졸업 후 약 1년까지도 첫 일자리 획득이 지속적으로 이어지고 있었다. 둘째, 첫 일자리 획득 기간에 영향을 미치는 요인을 검증한 결과 휴학경험, 영어 등 외국어 공부, 봉사활동, 취업 관련 서류작성 교육이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 첫 일자리 획득 여부에 영향을 주는 요인을 확인한 결과 재학 중 학자금 대출, 졸업 전 취업 목표, 직업과 관련된 교육 또는 훈련 경험, 취업캠프, 기업채용설명회, 기업체 직무적성검사 공부 그리고 대외활동이 도출되었다. 주요연구 결과를 바탕으로 대졸자들이 첫 일자리를 획득하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있는 변인들을 대상으로 정책방안을 논의하였으며, 마지막으로 연구의 제한점과 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 기술하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to help supplement the youth employment policy and program by period to the first job acquisition and identifying the factors influencing the first job acquisition. To do this, the cox proportional hazard model, logistic regression analysis, and propensity score matching were applied to the Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey of the Korea Employment Information Service. The findings of the current study were as follows. The period to the first job acquisition was 3.7 months on average. Moreover, most university graduates earned their first job within five months after graduation, and their first job acquisition continued until about a year after graduation. In addition, as a result of verifying the factors influencing the first job acquisition period, it was found that the experience of taking a leave of absence, studying foreign languages such as English, volunteering, and training in writing documents related to employment had an effect. Finally, the factors such as student loans, job goals before graduation, job-related education or training experience, job camps, corporate recruitment briefings, corporate job aptitude test studies, and external activities were found to influence the first job acquisition. Based on the results of the current study, the policy measures that can help university graduates get a job were discussed.
