계산기를 활용한 화폐교육이 지적장애 초등학생의 물건값 계산하기와 수업참여도에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 계산기를 활용한 화폐교육이 지적장애 초등학생의 물건값 계산하기와 수업참여도에 미치는 효과를 알아보았다. 특수학급 지적장애 초등학생 3명을 대상으로 ABAB설계를 적용하여 3주간 18회에 걸쳐 화폐교육 시간 중 계산기의 활용 여부에 따라 물건값 계산하기와 수업참여도가 어떻게 나타나는지 살펴보았다. 연구 결과 대상 학생 세 명 모두 중재 후 물건값 계산하기 수행률이 증가하였으며, 수업참여도 부분 역시 학생별 특이사항이 있었으나 결과적으로 계산기 사용 전에 비하여 발생률이 증가하였다. 본 연구는 그동안 계산기 관련 연구대상으로 드물었던 지적장애 초등학생을 대상으로 하였다는 점과 물건값 계산하기의 과정을 단순화하지 않고, 화폐 계산 부분에 계산기를 사용하여 학생들이 직접 계산할 수 있도록 지도하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 하지만 연구대상 학생 수가 적고, 물건의 가격이 현실을 반영하지 못한 점, 너무 짧은 연구 기간, 수업참여도에 있어 하위 행동 각각의 발생률에 대한 분석이 부족하다는 점 등에서 연구의 한계를 지닌다. 따라서 본 연구의 제한점을 참고하여 후속 연구에서는 일반화를 위한 지역사회와 연계된 계산기 활용 수업, 물건구매 과정과 화폐 계산능력을 함께 키울 수 있는 연구, 물건값 계산뿐 아니라 다양한 곳에서 학생들이 계산기를 활용할 수 있는 방안에 대한 연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the effects of money education using a calculator on the calculation of the price of goods and the class participation of elementary school students with intellectual disabilities. The ABAB design was applied to three elementary school students with intellectual disabilities participating in special classes, and we measured and observed 18 times during the three weeks to see how the calculation of the price of goods and their participation in classes would be based on the use of a calculator during the money education period. As a result of the study, the performance rate of calculating the value of all three students after arbitration increased, and the class participation of each student was also unique but as a result, the incidence rate increased compared to before using the calculator. This study is meaningful in that it has been conducted on elementary school students with intellectual disabilities, which have been rare for calculators, and that it does not simplify the process of calculating the price of goods, but rather teaches students to calculate directly using a calculator in the money calculation section. However, there are limitations in research on the fact that the number of students studied is small, the price of the items did not reflect reality, the period of study too short, and the lack of analysis on the incidence of each sub-action in class participation. Therefore, referring to the limitations of this study, follow-up studies require classes on using a calculator linked to the community for generalization, studies on how to develop both the purchasing process and the ability to calculate money, as well as how students can use a calculator in various places.
