대학 신입생의 진로준비 경험에 대한 질적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학 신입생의 진로준비 경험에 대해 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구문제는 첫째, 대학 신입생이 현재 하고 있는 진로준비는 어떠한가?, 둘째, 대학 신입생이 경험하는 진로준비의 어려움은 무엇인가?, 셋째, 대학 신입생이 진로준비 중 받은 지지는 무엇인가?, 넷째, 대학 신입생이 앞으로 진로준비를 하는데 있어서 받고 싶은 지지는 무엇인가? 였다. 이를 위하여 부산의 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 신입 대학생 30명을 대상으로 서면 설문을 실시하였다. CQR-M의 방법으로 데이터를 분석하였다. 데이터 분석은 영역 및 범주를 개발하고, 코딩팀을 구성하고, 영역 및 범주를 수정하고, 데이터를 수정된 범주에 코딩하였으며, 이후 반응의 빈도수를 결과로 기술하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학 신입생이 현재 하고 있는 진로준비에서는 진로 관련 정보수집, 기본적인 스펙 관리, 아직 하고 있지 않음 등 3개 범주가 도출되었다. 둘째, 대학 신입생이 경험하는 진로준비의 어려움에서는 진로를 결정하지 않은데서 오는 어려움, 진로결정 후 심리·정서적 어려움, 진로준비 과정에서 경험하는 어려움 등 3개 범주가 도출되었다. 셋째, 대학 신입생이 진로준비 중 받은 지지에서는 부모님께 받은 지지, 친구 및 선배에게 받은 지지, 교수님께 받은 지지 등 3개 범주가 도출되었다. 넷째, 대학 신입생이 앞으로 진로준비를 하는데 있어서 받고 싶은 지지에서는 부모님께 받고 싶은 지지, 친구 및 선배에게 받고 싶은 지지, 평소 관계 맺고 있지 않은 타인에게 받고 싶은 지지 등 3개 범주가 도출되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 신입 대학생의 진로준비에 대해서 이해하고 적절한 진로지도를 제공할 수 있는 기초자료가 될 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore career preparation experiences of college freshmen. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, questionnaires were conducted on 30 first-year college students enrolled in a four-year university in Busan. Data was analyzed by the CQR-M method. Data analysis developed domains and list of categories, selected a coding team, revised domains and categories, coded data into the modified categories. After that, the frequency of each categories was described as a result. The results of the study are as follows. First, three new categories of career preparations for college freshmen, including career-related information collection, basic spec management, and those not yet completed, were derived. Second, in the difficulties of career preparation experienced by freshmen of college, three categories were derived: the difficulty of not deciding the career, the psychological and emotional difficulties after the career decision, and the difficulties experienced in the career preparation process. Third, three categories of support received by college freshmen during career preparation were derived: support from parents, support from friends and seniors, and support from professors. Fourth, the three categories of support that college freshmen want to receive in the future are derived from the support they want to receive from their parents, the support they want from their friends and seniors, and the support they want to receive from others they don t have a relationship with. The results of this study will provide basic data on counseling and education for prevention of career guidance in college.
