2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 고등학교 과학과 일반선택과목 교과서에 나타난 직업 분석

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 고등학교 과학과 일반선택과목 교과서에 제시된 직업 분석에 있었다. 이에 2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 고등학교 과학과 일반선택과목 4개 교과 총 31종의 교과서에 나타난 직업 현황을 조사하여 문제점을 분석하였다. 구체적으로 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해서 교과서에 제시된 직업별 빈도 및 직업의 종류를 분석하고, 어떤 신생 및 이색 직업이 제시되고 있으며 교과서에 나타난 직업에 대한 설명은 어떠한지 알아보았다. 한국고용직업분류표의 대분류와 중분류, 소분류를 기준으로 직업의 빈도를 분석한 결과, 대분류 ‘1. 연구직 및 공학 기술직’이 집중적으로 제시되었고, 중분류 ‘12. 자연·생명과학 연구직’이 가장 많이 언급되었다. 소분류로 분석한 결과 물리학Ⅰ, 화학Ⅰ, 지구과학Ⅰ에서는 ‘121. 자연과학 연구원 및 시험원’이 가장 높은 비율을 차지하였으나 생명과학Ⅰ에서는 ‘122. 생명과학 연구원 및 시험원’이 제일 많이 제시되었다. 다음으로 일반선택과목 교과서 분석 결과, 직업 빈도에 비해 직업 종류가 매우 적었으며 직업의 중복 제시가 많았다. 전체적으로는 대분류 ‘1. 연구직 및 공학 기술직’에서 가장 많은 직업이 나타났고 그 중에서 과학자가 단연 높은 빈도를 차지하였다. 또한 동일한 교과목 내에서도 출판사에 따라 직업의 빈도 및 종류는 다소 차이가 있었다. 신생 및 이색 직업의 대부분은 ‘1. 연구직 및 공학 기술직’에 속해있는데 특히 생명과학Ⅰ에서 가장 많은 영역에 걸쳐 다양하게 신생 및 이색 직업이 분포함을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to find out whether various professions linked to the science field appear through vocation analysis presented in the science textbook of general choice in high school, and whether vocations that predicted changes in future societies are specifically guided. Specifically, to achieve the purpose of the study, the frequency of vocations and types of vocations presented in textbooks for the revised 2015 curriculum science general choice subjects are analyzed. It also looks at what new and unusual vocations are being offered, and what is the description of the vocations shown in the textbooks? The analysis includes all textual references to occupational names, such as text, exploratory activities, photo illustrations, and reading materials. Excluding cases where occupational names need to be inferred from images is likely to involve subjective judgments from researchers. Most of the new and unusual vocations are in the ‘1. Research and engineering technical positions’ especially in the most areas of Life Science I, where a wide variety of new and unusual vocations have emerged. The degree of vocation description presented in the textbook was distributed relatively similar, but there are also differences between subjects and publishers. The study confirmed that the vocations shown in textbooks were highly biased not only in sections but also in the results of applying the criteria for division and group In order for students to get more meaningful vocation information through textbooks, more diverse and specific vocations need to be presented. It is also necessary to provide a more active introduction to new and unusual vocations in the future, and to convey vocation information in textbooks in a specific form to assist in understanding the correct world of work. In addition, it is desirable to express vocation names in accurate and concrete forms presented in vocation classification standards or in vocation dictionaries when writing them in textbooks.
