국문 초록

본 연구는 과학영재교육원 초등학생의 문화예술 활동의 선호도와 실행도를 조사하여 문화예술 활동에 대한 요구도를 파악하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적에 따라 과학영재교육원에 다니는 초등학교 5, 6학년 학생을 대상으로 2019년 5월에서 6월까지 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 총 237명의 학생의 자료를 수집하여 통계 분석 프로그램을 활용하여 연구문제에 따라 대응표본 t 검증과 Borich 요구도 공식을 활용한 요구도 순위 도출, The Locus for Focus Model을 기초로 요구도 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 과학영재교육원 초등학생의 문화예술 활동의 요구는 예술관련 컨텐츠 제작이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났으며, Borich 요구도 분석결과와 The Locus for Focus Model의 요구도 결과가 일치하였다. 다음으로 요구도가 높은 문화예술 활동은 실제로 경험하고 체험하는 형태의 활동이었다. 과학영재교육원 초등학생의 문화예술 활동에 대한 선호와 요구분석을 통해 교육정책 방향에 맞는 개별화된 문화예술 경험이 교육 현장과 일상생활에 필요함을 논의하고, 다양한 교육적·사회문화적 경로를 마련하는 방향에 대해 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the evaluation and the priority of needs in cultural and art activities of elementary school students gifted in science. According to this purpose, we conducted a survey from May to June 2019 for elementary school 5th and 6th grade students. Utilizing statistical analysis programs(spss 23.0) by collecting data from a total of 237 students in education center for the gifted in science, corresponding sample t-tests, Borich need assessment model and requirements derived from formulas were used to derive ranks according to research problems, and The Locus for Focus Model was also used. The results showed that elementary school students had the highest need for artistic content production in terms of cultural and art activities, and Borich s need assessment and the analysis results were in agreement with those of The Locus for Focus Model. The next most demanding cultural and art activity was the type of activity that one actually experienced and experienced. Through the analysis of preference and requirements for cultural arts activities of elementary school students, we can discuss the cultural arts experience customized to the direction of South Korea s educational policy and what is necessary for daily life, and discuss various educational and social issues. Suggestions were given for the direction of establishing cultural pathways.
