초등학교 예비교사의 다문화 감수성이 다문화 교육역량에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

이 연구는 초등학교 예비교사의 다문화 감수성과 다문화 교육역량의 상관관계와 다문화 감수성이 다문화 교육역량에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 G교육대학교 예비교사 450명을 선정하여 설문조사를 실시하고, SPSS 22.0 통계프로그램으로 빈도, 백분비, 일원분산분석(ANOVA), 상관관계, 다중회귀분석을 적용하여 분석하였다. 초등학교 예비교사의 다문화 감수성과 다문화 교육역량은 평균적으로 높았으나 다문화 감수성의 상호작용자신도가 비교적 낮게 나타났고, 문화차이존중도는 높게 나타났다. 다문화 감수성과 다문화 교육역량 간에 상관관계가 있었으며, 다문화 감수성이 다문화 교육역량에 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과에 따라 초등학교 예비교사 양성 과정은 다양한 문화 경험과 교류 기회를 제공하여 다문화 감수성의 상호작용자신감을 높이고, 개론 중심의 선택과목으로 배치된 다문화 관련 강좌는 다문화 감수성의 모든 영역을 고루 함양시킬 수 있는 필수과목으로 운영할 필요가 있다. 그리고 예비교사를 위한 다문화 교육과정에서 다문화 감수성의 모든 요소를 증진시키고, 다문화교육을 위한 실질적인 지식과 교육 실습 및 현장 체험의 기회를 확대하여 다문화교육 인식 및 교육기술을 함양시킬 수 있도록 할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study were to analyze the correlation between multicultural sensitivity and multicultural teaching competency of preservice elementary school teachers, and to investigate the influence of multicultural sensitivity on multicultural teaching competency. To achieve the research purpose, 450 preservice elementary school teachers at G Educational University were selected and surveyed. SPSS 22.0 was used for data processing and analysis of this study. The multicultural sensitivity and multicultural teaching competency of preservice elementary school teachers were high on average, but the interaction confidence of multicultural sensitivity was relatively low. Therefore, a curriculum that enhances interaction confidence should be provided by providing a variety of cultures and providing various opportunities to interact with people who have different cultures. There was a statistically significant correlation between the results of the correlation analysis of multicultural sensitivity and multicultural teaching competency of preservice elementary school teachers, and the result of multiple regression analysis to investigate the influence of multicultural sensitivity on multicultural teaching competency was statistically significant. This means that the higher the multicultural sensitivity of preservice elementary school teachers, the higher the multicultural teaching competency. Based on these results, it was found that multicultural sensitivity was an important factor to improve the multicultural teaching competency of preservice elementary school teachers. In addition, it was confirmed that the curriculum needed to provide a variety of experiences to develop multicultural sensitivities in the preservice teacher training course.
