존 롤스의 분배정의론에 근거하여 대입전형의 공정성과 발전방안 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 대입전형의 공정성과 교육 기회균등의 의미를 파악하고, 존 롤스의 분배정의론을 근거하여 대입전형의 공정성과 공정한 기회균등 방안을 모색하는데 있다. 대입정형의 공정성 논란은 한정되어 있는 상위권 대학 입학 기회를 놓고 벌어지는 기회 분배의 불공정에서 야기 되는 것으로, 대입전형 운영 현황과 고교별 합격자 비율을 통해 불공정의 원인을 밝히고자하였다. 연구결과 상위권대학의 불균등한 대입전형 운영은 대입지원자에게서 전형 선택 자유권의 박탈로 자존감을 상실시킬 수 있으며, 학생부종합전형의 종합평가에서 사회적 환경에 따른 출발선의 차이를 줄여주지 못한 결과는 도입 목적에 따른 공정성을 확보하지 못하였다. 또한 최소 수혜자에 대한 제한과 전형선택의 기회가 한정되어 있어 공정한 기회균등을 완성하지 못하는 한계가 있었다. 이에 대입전형 각각의 공정성에 대한 사회적 합의와 전형의 고른 운영, 최소 수혜자의 확대를 위한 규정 마련, 고른기회전형 운영에서 대학 간 교차에 의한 학과 선택 기회확대를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study identifies the fairness of the college entrance exam and the meaning of educational opportunity equality, and seeks the fairness and fair equality of opportunity equality method of the college entrance exam based on John Rawls theory of distribution justice. The controversy over the fairness of the admission process for college entrance was caused by the unfair distribution of opportunities for high-ranking universities, which was limited for general high school students in order to determine the cause of the unfairness through the current status of the university admission process and the partial ratio of successful applicants depending on the type of high schools. As a result of the research, the current uneven assessment of college admissions performed at the top universities could result in the loss of students’ self-esteem by depriving college applicants from general high school of the opportunities to be chosen and cause the difference in starting line depeding on social background and environment , which did not secure the fairness of initial purpose of introduction of the comprehensive evaluation of the comprehensive student record screening(CSRAS). In addition, there was a limit of not completing fair equality of opportunity equality due to limited restrictions on the least advantaged and limited opportunities for selection. Thus, this study indicates that social consensus on the fairness of college entrance exam, even assessment operation of the screening process should be made and provision for expansion of the least advantaged, and expansion of opportunities for department selection with intercollegiate interdisciplinary operation should be considered.
