예술강사 참여경험을 통한 역량개발과 정서적지지 형성에 관한 목소리

국문 초록

이 연구는 5년간 예술강사를 하며 경험한 문화예술교육 현장에 대한 문제의식을 자문화기술지(autoethnography)를 통해 강사들의 진솔한 목소리를 정책개선에 접목하는 데 목적이 있다. 구체적으로 예술교육의 확산과 전문성 강화를 위해 고쳐져야 할 예술강사사업 시스템의 본질적인 것들에 물음을 던지며, 교수활동을 위한 역량개발과 정서적지지에 대한 논의를 하고자 하였다. 이 연구는 연구자 스스로의 경험을 사회적·문화적 맥락에서 예술강사와 관련된 경험과 연계하여 해석하고, 교육적 의미와 가치를 탐색하고자 자문화기술지를 활용하였다. 연구일정은 2017년 12월 동료강사, 선배강사들의 인터뷰를 시작으로 2019년 2월 본 내용을 정리하였다. 기억자료와 회상자료를 주된 자료로 사용하였으며 교육적 가치를 추구하는 실천으로 나아가고자 하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예술강사사업은 제도적 시스템과 교육적 실천 사이에서 문화예술교육의 특수성과 전문성을 시스템에 담아내지 못하고 있다. 둘째, 예술강사들이 교육실천 현장에서 더 나은 수업을 만들어 갈 수 있도록 학교교사 또는 동료강사들과의 협업이 중요하다. 셋째, 모든 예술교육의 시작은 예술강사의 삶과 그들의 예술적 역사 속에서 탄생한다. 학생들이 ‘예술적 바라보기’ 즉, 미적인 것들에 노출될 수 있도록 예술강사에 대한 관심이 필요한 때이다. 연구자는 교육을 위한 수단으로서의 예술교육이 아닌 삶으로부터 시작되는 일상적인 내용들을 매개하는 실천으로의 예술교육을 강조한다. 이 연구는 예술강사사업이 새로운 시스템을 만들어가는 과정에서 현장의 생생한 목소리부터 들어야 한다는 것을 이야기 해준다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to discuss the problem of culture and arts education and to incorporate the sincere voice of instructors into policy improvement. This knowledge was obtained as an art instructor for five years through straightforward voice in autoethnography. In addition, it inquires the essentials of the artistic instructor business system which should be raised for the spread of art education and professionalism. It discusses the development of competence and emotional support for teaching activities. This study used autoethnography to analyze and interpret the experience of the researcher in the social and cultural context, and to explore educational meaning and value. The research schedule began in December 2017 with interviews with fellow and senior lecturers, and the contents were summarized in February 2019. By using personal experience and recollection of materials as the main data, the results of the study are summarized as follows. First, the artistic lecturer project has not been able to bring into the system the speciality and expertise of culture and arts education between institutional system and educational practice. Secondly, it is important to collaborate with fellow teachers so lessons can be improved during teaching practice. Third, the beginning of art education is born in the instructor s life and artistic history. It is when students need to be artistic , that is, to be interested in the instructor’s work and can be exposed to the aesthetic. The researcher emphasizes art education as a means of mediating everyday contents starting from life, not art education as a means of education. Through this research, it is meaningful to provide a vivid story of the field in the process of creating a new system by the art teacher business.
